Ye Shunguang materials: Everything you can get in ZZZ right now

Ye Shunguang is the next Void Hunter-level agent in Zenless Zone Zero and, surprisingly, players will be able to pre-farm her materials to completion.

For the first time in a long time, ZZZ players have gotten a proper story build to a new character. The upcoming attacker agent popped up in odd fashion, but has since been firmly established as one of the story’s most powerful characters. She’s looking ready to live up to that in-game too.

An enormous number of players are saving up their Polychromes to pull for Ye Shunguang. While that’s not necessarily easy with the thin content offering of version ZZZ version 2.4, the good news is that players can easily farm up all the materials they need for Ye Shunguang’s ascensions and core skill.

Ye Shunguang promotion materials

Ye Shunguang is an attack agent, which means her ascension materials are the Attack Certification Seal line of items. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Level 20: 4 Basic Attack Certification Seals and 24,000 Dennies
  • Level 30: 12 Advanced Attack Certification Seals and 56,000 Dennies
  • Level 40: 20 Advanced Attack Certification Seals and 120,000 Dennies
  • Level 50: 10 Pioneer’s Certification Seals and 200,000 Dennies
  • Level 60: 20 Pioneer’s Certification Seals and 400,000 Dennies

Promotion materials remain exclusively available through the HIA. Almost. Players can swap battery charge that they accrue each day for fights at the HIA which drop a set amount of certification seals.

While skill materials can be acquired en masse through other means, that’s not the case with promotion materials. The only other means for acquiring them is from the 141 Convenience Store, which sells just a few random materials at a time. Players will need to swing by the HIA to level her up to 60.

Ye Shunguang skill materials

Ye Shunguang will use the standard roundup of skill upgrade materials for agents, albeit without her actually being a physical agent. Here’s the full breakdown for each level:

  • Level 2: 2 Basic Physical Chips, 2,000 Dennies
  • Level 3: 3 Basic Physical Chips, 3,000 Dennies
  • Level 4: 2 Advanced Physical Chips and 6,000 Dennies
  • Level 5: 3 Advanced Physical Chips and 9,000 Dennies
  • Level 6: 4 Advanced Physical Chips and 12,000 Dennies
  • Level 7: 6 Advanced Physical Chips and 18,000 Dennies
  • Level 8: 5 Specialized Physical Chips and 45,000 Dennies
  • Level 9: 8 Specialized Physical Chips and 67,500 Dennies
  • Level 10: 10 Specialized Physical Chips and 90,000 Dennies
  • Level 11: 12 Specialized Physical Chips and 112,500 Dennies
  • Level 12: 15 Specialized Physical Chips, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 135,000 Dennies

Similar to other Void Hunter-level agents Yixuan and Miyabi, Ye Shunguang has her own unique iteration on an existing element. While Miyabi is effectively an ice agent and Yixuan is ether, Ye Shunguang will be a physical agent. This means players can still use the standard-issue physical chips and pair her with Bangboos like Bangvolver.

Ye Shunguang boss materials for core skills

Players can acquire the boss materials they need for Ye Shunguang before the launch of the 2.5 update. As ever, this requires visits to both the HIA and Scott Outpost. Here’s everything players need:

  • A: 5,000 Dennies
  • B: 2 Higher Dimensional Data: Miasmic Elytron and 12,000 Dennies
  • C: 4 Higher Dimensional Data: Miasmic Elytron and 28,000 Dennies
  • D: 9 Higher Dimensional Data: Miasmic Elytron, 2 Exuvia of Refinement, and 60,000 Dennies
  • E: 15 Higher Dimensional Data: Miasmic Elytron, 3 Exuvia of Refinement, and 100,000 Dennies
  • F: 30 Higher Dimensional Data: Murderous Obituary, 4 Exuvia of Refinement and 200,000 Dennies

The HIA boss material comes from the Miasma Ravager Avarus, the frustrating enemy that bounces around repeatedly throughout the fight. Maxing out Ye Shunguang’s core skill requires 60 Miasmic Elytrons, which translates to 480 battery charge in total. This means 12 fights at the HIA but after Ye Shunguang’s launch, the fights will be offered with double rewards for double the battery charge.

At the Scott Outpost, Zenless Zone Zero players can start fighting the Miasma Priest from version 2.0. Three of these are available for free each week through the Notorious Hunt. After that limit, players need to spend 60 battery charge for each one.
