Pokemon TCG Pocket: Best decks from Crimson Blaze

Pokemon TCG Pocket: Crimson Blaze has new best decks for players to try out.

Pokemon TCG Pocket released Crimson Blaze on December 17, 2025, with new megas and best decks to chase down.

The last new set of 2025, Crimson Blaze is helping the year go off with a bang. The booster continues with adding mega Pokemon to the meta, as well as some other promising cards. Players who want to keep up with the competitive game should start building their new decks now.

Best decks from Crimson Blaze

Crimson Blaze is one of the smallest Pokemon TCG Pocket releases yet, with only 69 unique cards. Fortunately, many of the new cards are powerhouses that are sure to make up some of the new best decks.

Mega Charizard Y ex/Moltres ex

Charizard ex dominated the early meta of Pokemon TCG Pocket, and the power-scaled Mega Charizard Y ex is bringing the Pokemon back around. The new card is one of the most outright powerful Pokemon released to date. With 220 HP, Mega Charizard Y ex deals 250 damage. This is enough to knock out almost any Pokemon in one hit.

Mega Charizard Y ex does require both an energy ramp card and likely some healing, since it does 50 damage to itself per attack. This is where Moltres ex, which distributes up to three fire energy per attack, comes in. Also, Lillie heals 40 damage from specifically Stage 2 Pokemon.

Players may want to consider only using one Mega Charizard Y ex and putting in a regular Crimson Blaze Charizard in the second spot. For one, this makes the deck easier to complete for regular users. It also helps protect the deck from the likes of electric Oricorio.

Reuniclus/Gardevoir

Reuniclus is far from the most powerful card in Crimson Rising, but it may make up one of the best new decks. Starting with 90 HP, it gets an additional 30 HP for every psychic energy attached. In a base psychic deck, this already adds up to a new 180 HP. Then, when paired with Genetic Apex’s Gardevoir line, it can quickly grow up to being a card that can’t be one shotted by Mega Charizard Y ex.

However, this deck does have a few pitfalls. Firstly, both Gardevoir and Reuniclus are Stage 2 cards, meaning they take a while to get online. Additionally, Reuniclus only deals 90 damage per turn. Still, with a little luck and a lot of strategy, it could be one of the best decks to try out in Crimson Blaze. Players are also much more likely to pull from the Reuniclus line than they are a mega Pokemon, making it an easier deck to start using right away.

  • Solosis x2
  • Duosion x2
  • Reuniclus x2
  • Ralts (Genetic Apex) x2
  • Gardevoir (Genetic Apex) x2
  • Rare Candy x2
  • Lisia
  • Copycat
  • Heavy Helmet x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • Pokeball x2

There are plenty of other decks to build from Crimson Rising, especially if players can pull the most sought after cards. The new Ivysaur, with its attack also giving itself two extra energy, makes Mega Venusaur ex much more viable. A Magnezone/electric-type Oricorio deck is also a great counter to the rapidly appearing Mega decks.

Mega Charizard Y ex is likely to be one of the most prominent cards in the current meta, while Reuniclus may just pop up to counter it. But players have their pick of the lot when it comes to deck building. The new combinations showing up may change the competitive gameplay in ways no one expects.
