Crimson Blaze has a number of new chase cards for players, including new rare cards to try to pull.
Pokemon TCG Pocket is a collector’s dream, with over 1,600 unique cards to collect. These include base cards, art illustrations, promo and event cards, and more. With the way developers keep adding more, it feels nearly impossible to get them all. Still, that doesn’t stop many from trying.
The latest set, Crimson Blaze, has plenty of new cards to seek out. Some Pokemon cards, however, are rarer than others.
What are the rarest cards in Crimson Blaze?
Crimson Blaze offers two new gold crown cards for players to chase down: Aegislash and Quick-Grow extract.
Typically, boosters with only one pack to open come with a corresponding one gold crown cards. Crimson Blaze, however, has added two rare gold crown cards. One is the Pokemon Aegislash, a Mega Rising card that increases damage done by psychic or steel Pokemon when benched. The other is the new Quick-Grow Extract card that evolves a grass Pokemon.

Gold crown cards mainly appear as the fourth or fifth card in a pack, with an 0.040% or 0.158% of being pulled, respectively. Because there are two cards, the odds of pulling a specific one are halved. Players truly hoping to get one of the rarest cards in Crimson Blaze will need to cross their fingers for a rare pack. If obtained, they have an overall 10.000% chance of pulling one of the two gold crown cards.
Originally, gold crown cards featured the mascot Pokemon for the booster. These included Pokemon like Charizard, Dialga, and Lunala. However, in recent sets, DeNA and Nintendo have been picking other Pokemon and even items and trainers.
Other rarest cards from Crimson Blaze
A little less rare than gold crown cards, Crimson Blaze also has plenty of two-star full art cards for player to chase.
There are eleven two-star illustration rares in Crimson Blaze, with an overall chance of 0.5000% of pulling one for the fourth card and 2.000% for the fifth. While better odds than the rare gold crown cards, players are still much more likely to get a Bulbasaur than an art rare Mega Venusaur ex.

Other cards that players can look forward to are shiny one and two-star cards. Mega Rising changed the rarity of these cards by making them the sixth card in a set, which only appear 5.238% of the time. If players get a sixth card, though, it’s guaranteed to be shiny. Standouts include a number of now shiny cards from Celestial Guardians, including Type: Null, Guzzlord ex, and Lunala ex.
With only 109 cards in the set, one can expect to get a lot of duplicate one and two-diamond cards. Still, there’s always the chance of getting lucky and pulling one of the rarest cards in Crimson Blaze.
