Lucy’s a reminder that players don’t need to spend big to get a great support in Zenless Zone Zero, especially with the perfect build.
Luciana Auxesis Theodoro de Montefio, or more simply Lucy, is a fire support agent in ZZZ. She may be an A-rank agent in the game, but she’s not one to be underestimated. In terms of value, Lucy stands above the rest of the A-rank agents all thanks to the great versatility that she brings to the table. Besides being a sub-DPS, her buffs cater to many DPS regardless of their attribute, and that makes her building her pretty worthwhile for most players.
With that in mind, here’s a breakdown of Lucy’s kit in Zenless Zone Zero along with the best drive disc sets, w-engines and team builds for the character.
How to play Lucy in ZZZ
As a sub-DPS support, Lucy’s signature feature lies in her attack buff and consistent off-field damage in ZZZ.

Lucy’s core gameplay revolves around her EX Special: Home Run! This ability summons guard boars that deal impressive damage, especially with sufficient ATK and crit levels, even when Lucy is off the field. Unlike Burnice’s, it does not apply anomaly. Home Run! ends with a quick assist that activates the Cheer On! status, providing a flat attack boost of up to 600 and a 10% crit damage increase at M4 for the whole team.
The majority of Zenless Zone Zero’s roster is built around attack-scaling agents, which means she’ll be useful in almost any team composition, be it for hypercarry or anomaly teams.
Best Drive Disc for ZZZ Lucy build
Lucy’s best drive disc sets are 4-piece Swing Jazz or Astral Voice combined with 2-piece sets like Hormone Punk and Woodpecker Electro.
The Sons of Calydon member is a support agent whose goal is to stack as much ATK as she possibly can. The more attack she has, the bigger the flat attack buff she can provide. Below are the ideal main stats for each partition:
- HP
- ATK
- DEF
- ATK%
- ATK%
- Energy Regen
4-piece Astral Voice + 2-piece Swing Jazz
Astral Voice is Lucy’s newest best-in-slot drive disc set, delivering attack stats that result in higher off-field damage and bigger buffs. Not only that, it also provides a team-wide damage boost of up to 24% at maximum stacks. This surpasses Swing Jazz’s damage boost, though it only applies to one particular unit. This is more suitable for teams with a single hypercarry rather than a dual DPS setup. Players can then pair this set with Swing Jazz for some strong energy regeneration.
Lucy is among the many supports that utilize this set particularly well with her ability to trigger quick assists through EX Specials.
4-piece Swing Jazz + 2-piece Hormone punk/Woodpecker Electro
Swing Jazz is a guaranteed pick for most every support in Zenless Zone Zero. Energy regeneration is a nice stat to have when maintaining her buff uptime. Its complete set rewards a 15% teamwide damage buff. Pair it with Hormone Punk to help hit the ATK requirement for her buff.
Woodpecker Electro also works well, especially when players have already achieved a decent amount of attack (2000-4000 ATK) for Lucy. The two-piece set grants crit rate, which is crucial for her role as a sub-DPS.
Best W-engines for Lucy in Zenless Zone Zero
Lucy’s best W-engines are Kaboom the Cannon, Weeping Cradle and Reverb Mark II.
Kaboom the Cannon (A-rank)
Kaboom the Cannon is the most recommendable W-engine for Lucy. It gives energy regen, and at max refinement and the whole squad gets an extra 24% ATK on top of Lucy’s buffs. Pretty much every DPS in Zenless Zone Zero scales with attack, so this works in a lot of team comps. Being an A-rank W-engine also means it relatively easy to refine.
Weeping Cradle (S-rank)
Weeping Cradle, even though it’s an S-rank, only comes in second for the best options for a support Lucy build. It has pen ratio that allows Lucy’s attacks to hit harder against her targets. But since her boars can’t trigger the passive when she’s off-field, it’s a better fit for an on-field main DPS Lucy build.
Reverb Mark III (B-rank)
Reverb Mark III is a much cheaper option for Lucy, but it’s far from useless. While Lucy doesn’t gain much from the HP substats, she can still make good use of a passive effect that provides a team-wide attack boost.
Best ZZZ Lucy Teams
Thanks to her off-field damage and with most agents’ attacks scaling off attack, Lucy’s an easy pick for many ZZZ team compositions. Here are some of the best Lucy teams in Zenless Zone Zero.
Lucy Mono-fire team – Soldier 11, Burnice and Lucy (Red Moccus)
A mono-fire team with Soldier 11, Burnice, and Lucy will set everything ablaze. Soldier 11 stays as an on-field hypercarry with Burnice bringing a steady source of off-field damage. With Lucy’s presence, players can expect some good boosts to their damage numbers.
Miyabi Hypercarry team – Miyabi, Lighter and Lucy (Red Moccus)
Lucy might be an A-rank support, but that doesn’t stop her from earning a spot in one of ZZZ’s top-tier teams with Miyabi.
When teamed up with Lighter and Lucy, Miyabi becomes the center of a hypercarry setup. Frostburn – Break and the rest of Miyabi’s attacks scale heavily off ATK, making Lucy one of her prime supports. Next, slot in Lighter to knock opponents into a staggered state while enhancing Miyabi’s damage through a mix of ice buffs and debuffs. Beyond their own utility buffs, their quick assists also make them great candidates to make full use of the Astral Voice drive disc set.
Best Free-to-play Lucy Assault Team – Piper, Nekomata and Lucy (Bangvolver)
While it’s a free-to-play setup, there’s nothing weak about this team. Piper and Nekomata are two on-field physical DPS units who can split field time to form an Assault quickswap team. These units take turns triggering nonstop Assaults, which not only delivers huge burst damage but also increases Nekomata’s damage output.
At maximum stacks, Piper also provides an additional damage buff to the squad. To round out the team, add Lucy for her ATK buffs.
