Stardew Valley 1.6: Here’s the location of the Lost Items Shop

stardew valley lost items

Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update allows players to recover rare items they dropped at the Lost Items Shop, but its location is quite discrete.

Stardew Valley has hundreds of collectibles, and for the most part, the player has some way to farm them. Be it lucrative resources like Ancient Fruits or creepy Cursed Mannequins, Stardew Valley typically gives players the means to get whatever they want. However, exceptions do exist.

Some items are rare or effectively one-of-a-kind and losing it in the mines means it’s gone forever. For example, if a player loses a gift from their spouse or friends, there’s often no way to recover those precious keepsakes. Alongside new items, artisanal goods, and official cheat support, Stardew Valley 1.6 update brings some quality-of-life changes to make recovering lost items easier.

One simple change allows items dropped in water to float for a short time, giving quick players a chance to recover them before they are lost. If the item still disappears anyway, then a player can visit the Lost Items Shop.

How do I recover lost unique items in Stardew Valley 1.6?

Players can purchase their lost items from the Lost Items Shop in the Secret Woods for 10,000g.

After losing a unique item that cannot be recovered through normal means, players can visit the Lost Items Shop in the Secret Woods. It should appear behind a fallen column. Each lost item is sold for 10,000g.

Fair warning: any player can buy back lost items in Stardew Valley multiplayer, even if the item isn’t theirs. To avoid any shenanigans from friends, get to the shop quickly before they grab anything.

The Lost Items Shop operates independently of Marlon and his item recovery service. The shop focuses specifically on rare or special reward items. Ideally, Stardew Valley players won’t be visiting with any regularity, but those who wind up losing one of these items will be happy to have it.
