The best way to farm all Harumasa materials in ZZZ

ZZZ Harumasa materials

Harumasa’s damage heavily relies on investing resources in his kit, so stocking up on his promotion materials is a must before he arrives.

Hollow Special Operations Section 6 is rounding out the faction with the addition of Asaba Harumasa in version 1.4 alongside Hoshimi Miyabi. Harumasa is a five-star Electric attack character whose attacks share some resemblance to Tartaglia from Genshin Impact. He appears to wield a bow, which allows him to land AoE ranged and charged attacks, and he can also swap to dual blades to slash through opponents with dash attacks.

Reliable leaks are hinting that Harumasa might be a free five-star character in Zenless Zone Zero, just like Dr. Ratio in Honkai Star Rail. If that’s true, there’s no reason not to start collecting his materials right now.

All Harumasa promotion materials

Harumasa’s promotion materials consist of 4 Basic Attack Certification Seal, 32 Advanced Attack Certification Seal, 30 Pioneer’s Certification Seal and 800,000 Dennies.

Harumasa needs to go through six promotions and below is the list of materials needed for each level.

  • Level 20: 4 Basic Attack Certification Seal and 24,000 Dennies
  • Level 30: 12 Advanced Attack Certification Seal and 56,0000 Dennies
  • Level 40: 20 Advanced Attack Certification Seal and 120,000 Dennies
  • Level 50: 10 Advanced Attack Certification Seal and 200,000 Dennies
  • Level 60: 20 Pioneer’s Certification Seal and 400,000 Dennies

Basic Attack, Advanced Attack, and Pioneer’s Certification Seal are promotional materials needed to upgrade attack-specialty agents like Harumasa, Nekomata, and Ellen. Players will have to spend up to 100 Battery Charge per run to receive certification seals from the HIA.

To get there, enter Combat Simulation, pick Agent Promotion, and hit Attack Drill. Players can keep costs down by using the craft and dismantle function.

Dennies come from everywhere; dailies, quests, events, ZZZ codes, and the in-game shops. As the game’s main currency, players can accumulate millions. However, they’re easy come, easy go, so if players ever run out, they can farm more by participating in Bounty Specialization within Combat Simulation.

Harumasa skill level up materials in ZZZ

The materials to level up Harumasa’s skill are 2 Basic Shock Chips, 15 Advanced Shock Chips, 50 Specialized Shock Chips, and 1 Hamster Cage Pass.

There are 12 levels for each of Harumasa’s skills, and upgrading them increases the damage and daze multiplier of his attacks. Note that this list applies to a single skill, so players will need to pay five times the amount if they want to fully upgrade all of his skills.

  • Level 2: 2 Basic Shock Chip, 2,000 Dennies
  • Level 3: 3 Basic Shock Chip, 3,000 Dennies
  • Level 4: 2 Advanced Shock Chip and 6,000 Dennies
  • Level 5: 3 Advanced Shock Chip and 9,000 Dennies
  • Level 6: 4 Advanced Shock Chip and 12,000 Dennies
  • Level 7: 6 Advanced Shock Chip and 18,000 Dennies
  • Level 8: 5 Specialized Shock Chip and 45,000 Dennies
  • Level 9: 8 Specialized Shock Chip and 67,500 Dennies
  • Level 10: 10 Specialized Shock Chip and 90,000 Dennies
  • Level 11: 12 Specialized Shock Chip and 112,500 Dennies
  • Level 12: 15 Specialized Shock Chip, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 135,000 Dennies

Farming Shock Chips is similar to collecting Certification Seals. This time, players will need to select Agent Skill, then Current Test from the Combat Simulation. Alternatively, players can use Original Chips to replace any Tactical Chip.

The Hamster Cage Pass, on the other hand, is a rare item used to unlock the final skill level. It can only be acquired through two methods, either the New Eridu City Fund or limited-time events. ZZZ’s battle pass system, New Eridu City Fund, provides two Hamster Cage Passes, one from the basic plan, and another from the paid version.

All Harumasa core skill level up materials

Harumasa will need three materials to upgrade his core skill including Sycophant’s Refinement, Dennies, and a new 1.4 Expert Challenge boss material. Players will not be able to pre-farm Harumasa’s core skill materials until after ZZZ version 1.4 has launched.

  • A: 5,000 Dennies
  • B: 2 New 1.4 Expert Challenge boss material and 12,000 Dennies
  • C: 4 New 1.4 Expert Challenge boss material and 28,000 Dennies
  • D: 9 New 1.4 Expert Challenge boss material, 2 Sycophant’s Refinement, and 60,000 Dennies
  • E: 15 New 1.4 Expert Challenge boss material, 3 Sycophant’s Refinement, and 100,000 Dennies
  • F: 30 New 1.4 Expert Challenge boss material, 4 Sycophant’s Refinement, and 200,000 Dennies

Version 1.4 of ZZZ will bring in three new bosses, one of which is an expert challenge boss that drops a key material for leveling up Harumasa’s skills. There’s currently no method to farm this material, but the boss will be available immediately upon release or after progressing through quests.

Much like Harumasa’s expert challenge boss, the new weekly Notorious Hunt will also be added in the same patch. The boss’ name is still a mystery, but leaks point to ‘Sycophant’s Refinement’ as the drop’s name. To get this, jump into Notorious Hunt mode, where players can grab up to three free drops. After that, each run will cost 60 batteries. But if Reserved Relics are available, proxies can use them instead to pick a boss drop of their choice. This rare item can be picked up from Casper at the Scott Outpost Logistic Shop.
