Zenless Zone Zero’s 1.3 update added plenty of new content, but ZZZ diehards only needed a day or two to start wondering when version 1.4 would arrive. Thankfully, release date information was already swirling.
The addition of Tsukishiro Yanagi, her agent story, a battle tower, and the return of TV-hopping gameplay made version 1.3 one to remember. But in terms of the playing time, it didn’t tide players over for long. Thankfully, the wait won’t be too long.
Zenless Zone Zero’s next major update is just six weeks off. Players already know a targeted release date, as well as which characters will be added to the game.
ZZZ 1.4 update release date
Zenless Zone Zero is set to be released on December 18, 2024.
Details on what new content will be added to the game are uncertain, save for the new characters. Each major patch has added a new map, new story content, and gameplay changes. These will undoubtedly come as part of the 1.4 update but it’s unclear what players will get from it.
Who are the banners for Zenless Zone Zero version 1.4?
Hoshimi Miyabi is set to be added to ZZZ in version 1.4 as an S-rank character in a limited-time banner.
Miyabi’s arrival as a playable character is long-awaited. Miyabi has periodically appeared in the game as part of the story related to the Scott Outpost and Hollow Zero. Players are treated to a striking cutscene of Miyabi singlehandedly battling back Nineveh early in the game. Since then, she has appeared sporadically as the story’s focus turned to NEPS in version 1.1 and then the Sons of Calydon in version 1.2.
The fox thiren got a bit more spotlight in version 1.3 as the story turned to Tsukishiro Yanagi and Section 6. Still, fans were taken aback when they found out that Yanagi would be the first limited-time banner for Section 6, and that she would be immediately followed by the fifth Sons of Calydon member, Lighter.
She’ll finally become available through a limited-time banner during ZZZ version 1.4, and she won’t be alone. Fellow Section 6 member Harumasa will also be joining the game.
Whether he will star in his own limited-time banner is unclear. Though this is the standard method for introducing new playable characters in Zenless Zone Zero, reports have suggested he might be introduced in some other way. Regardless, Harumasa is available in test versions of the game, confirming he will be added in version 1.4.
