Zenless Zone Zero players who have their eyes on Lighter and little interest in the upcoming limited-time agents can pre-farm his materials months in advance.
Lighter is coming to ZZZ as a playable character in version 1.3, following Tsukishiro Yanagi from Section 6. He made a few appearances before launching, particularly in the Tour de Inferno quest. He’s confirmed to be an S-rank fire stun melee agent from the Sons of Calydon faction, joining Caesar, Burnice, Lucy, and Piper. When it comes to his playstyle, the Undefeated Champion of the Outer Ring throws flurries of punches at foes, quickly applying daze to the target.
With a kit like his, he’ll be able to mesh well with any team looking for a stunner, especially if Lighter is leveled up. Fortunately, all Lighter materials are available before his release, allowing players to pre-farm them.

All Zenless Zone Zero Lighter promotion materials
The materials needed to level up Lighter in Zenless Zone Zero are 4 Basic Stun Certification Seals, 32 Advanced Stun Certification Seals, 30 Buster Certification Seals, and 800,000 Dennies.
Lighter’s promotion will undergo six levels and listed down below are the needed items for each:
- Level 20: 4 Basic Stun Certification Seal and 24,000 Dennies
- Level 30: 12 Advanced Stun Certification Seal and 56,000 Dennies
- Level 40: 20 Advanced Stun Certification Seal and 120,000 Dennies
- Level 50: 10 Advanced Stun Certification Seal and 200,000 Dennies
- Level 60: 20 Buster Certification Seal and 400,000 Dennies
In Zenless Zone Zero, proxies can earn a huge amount of Dennies and burn through them in an instant. At the beginning of the game, players will be able to accumulate millions of Dennies, as this currency comes from basically any task players do from doing quests, dailies, events, redeeming codes, and more.
Enhancing agents, W-Engines, and Drive Discs, though, can burn through Dennies rapidly. They can however rely on the following ways to get more.
Meanwhile, Basic Stun, Advanced Stun, and Buster Certification Seal are materials solely used by stun agents like Lighter. This promotion material is primarily obtained from the HIA.
Enter the Combat Simulation, choose Agent Promotion and tap the Stun Drill, which will consume up to 100 batteries per run, depending on the number of enemy waves. Players can also use the craft and dismantle function to cut down on costs.
Lighter skill level-up materials
Increasing Lighter’s skills involves gathering 2 Basic Burn Chips, 15 Advanced Burn Chips, 50 Specialized Burn Chips, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 500,000 Dennies.
Reaching the maximum level of Lighter’s skill involves upgrading it to level 12. Keep in mind, this applies to just one skill. To fully upgrade all skills, players will need to pump these materials into Lighter five times over.
- Level 2: 2 Basic Burn Chip, 2,000 Dennies
- Level 3: 3 Basic Burn Chip, 3,000 Dennies
- Level 4: 2 Advanced Burn Chip and 6,000 Dennies
- Level 5: 3 Advanced Burn Chip and 9,000 Dennies
- Level 6: 4 Advanced Burn Chip and 12,000 Dennies
- Level 7: 6 Advanced Burn Chip and 18,000 Dennies
- Level 8: 5 Specialized Burn Chip and 45,000 Dennies
- Level 9: 8 Specialized Burn Chip and 67,500 Dennies
- Level 10: 10 Specialized Burn Chip and 90,000 Dennies
- Level 11: 12 Specialized Burn Chip and 112,500 Dennies
- Level 12: 15 Specialized Burn Chip, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 135,000 Dennies
Like his fellow Sons of Calydon members Lily and Burnice, Lighter is a fire agent who demands Basic, Advanced, and Specialized Burn Chips. To get this, players must spend their batteries on the Combat Simulation – Heating Test.
To complete the upgrades, Proxies need to gather a rare item called a Hamster Cage Pass. This pass serves as a skill level-up material essential for reaching level 12 with agents. Currently, ZZZ offers only two ways to obtain the Hamster Cage Pass: participating in events and leveling up Zenless Zone Zero‘s battle pass, the New Eridu City Fund. For the second option, players must reach level 35 to obtain one Hamster Cage Pass, or two if they have the premium version.
All Lighter core skill level-up materials
On the flip side, Lighter’s core level-up materials include a total of 60 Higher Dimensional Data: Crimson Awe, 9 Scarlet Engines and 405,000 Dennies.
Here is the breakdown of all materials needed for each Core level.
- A: 5,000 Dennies
- B: 2 Higher Dimensional Data: Crimson Awe and 12,000 Dennies
- C: 4 Higher Dimensional Data: Crimson Awe and 28,000 Dennies
- D: 9 Higher Dimensional Data: Crimson Awe, 2 Scarlet Engine, and 60,000 Dennies
- E: 15 Higher Dimensional Data: Crimson Awe, 3 Scarlet Engine, and 100,000 Dennies
- F: 30 Higher Dimensional Data: Crimson Awe, 4 Scarlet Engine, and 200,000 Dennies
The only source of Higher Dimensional Data: Crimson Awe is the Expert Challenge – Troublemaker – Wanted Enforcer. This boss is unlocked upon finishing the Mechanical Love and Let’s Go Bro! Quests during the Chapter 2 of the main story. Depending on the level, this Expert Challenge boss can give two to five pieces of the Crimson Awe, each run costing 40 batteries.
The last Lighter material players will need is the Scarlet Engine, an enhancement item dropped by Corrupted Overlord – Pompey. This boss is one of the Notorious Hunt bosses, and players can earn loot from him for free up to three times per week. Any attempts beyond this will cost the player 60 batteries. Prior to spending batteries, players should consider stopping by the Scott Outpost Logistic Shop NPC, Casper. By interacting with him, players can acquire up to four Reserved Relics per month for 150 Z-merits each. Once opened, these relics allow players to select any boss drops they need.
