Level 90 is a lot of ascension materials for any character, but a maxed-out Pyro traveler is perfect for exploring all over Natlan.
The Pyro Traveler has been the center of speculation ever since Natlan threw open its gates in Genshin Impact. In the past, players only needed to visit any of the Statue of the Seven within any region to resonate with its respective element, but Natlan appears to deviate from this norm. Several reliable leaks suggest that players can only unlock the Pyro Traveler after completing the Natlan archon quest, with all six constellations handed over right off the bat.
As for their gameplay, the Pyro Traveler reportedly features the Nightsoul mechanic, like other Natlan characters, along with an off-field Pyro application ability. Now, if their abilities are to the player’s liking, getting the character and talents leveled up should be a priority to increase their combat power.
Pyro Traveler ascension materials in Genshin Impact
Pyro Traveler’s level 90 ascension materials include Brilliant Diamond Sliver, Brilliant Diamond Fragment, Brilliant Diamond Chunk, Brilliant Diamond Gemstone, Windwheel Aster, Damaged Mask, Stained Mask and Ominous Mask.

- Level 20: 1 Brilliant Diamond Sliver, 3 Windwheel Aster, 3 Damaged Mask and 20,000 mora

How and where to farm Pyro Traveler ascension materials
Brilliant Diamond Sliver, Fragments, Chunks, and Gemstones are ascension materials unique to the Traveler. Unlike other gemstones, Brilliant Diamond cannot be farmed by defeating bosses. Instead, it can only be obtained by reaching certain adventure ranks and receiving rewards from it.

Windwheel Aster is a local Mondstadt specialty found around Starfell Lake, Windrise, Dawn Winery, and Stormterror’s Lair. It’s easy to spot even from afar, making it one of the simplest materials to farm. A total of 163 Windwheel Asters are needed, and since only 73 are available per world with a two-day respawn, it’ll take almost a week to gather them all. Alternatively, it’s possible to farm in another world, buy them from Flora’s shop in Mondstadt, or grow them in the Serenitea Pot.
To make farming easier, add a party member with a Mondstadt local specialty passive, like Klee or Mika, who can highlight nearby items from the region on the minimap.
Damaged Mask, Stained Mask, Ominous Mask are character and weapon enhancement materials obtained by defeating the Hilichurls which include Mitachurls, Lawachurls, Samachurls, Hilichurl Grenadier, Hilichuurl Shooter, Hilichurl Berserker and Hilichurl Guard. Given it’s among the most common enemy types, finding them is rather convenient especially with the help of the Genshin Impact Official Interactive map.

Where to get Pyro Traveler talent materials
Unlike other units in the game, Traveler or MC of all elements requires three talent book types. As for the Pyro Traveler, they will need Conflict, Contention, and Kindling, all of which can be farmed from the Blazing Ruins domain in the Coatepec Mountain area in Natlan. Each day, only one type will be featured so it’s best to keep the schedule in mind to complete all the required materials as efficiently as possible.
- Contention: Monday, Thursday, Sunday
- Kindling: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
- Conflict: Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
Sentrys’ Wooden Whistle, Warrior’s Metal Whistle, and Saurian-Crowned Warrior’s Golden Whistle meanwhile are items that are dropped by Saurform Tribal Warriors from Natlan. Simply defeat them and claim the drops. If players need the high-tier versions, they can use any crafting table found across Teyvat to upgrade the whistles.
The Cornerstone of Stars and Flames is a rare item needed to advance the Traveler’s talent level to 7, 8, 9, and 10. Much like Brilliant Diamond gemstones, this material requires a special method of obtaining it, which is by finishing certain Natlan quests.

The Crown of Insight is the final piece needed to crown the Pyro Traveler’s talent. Initially, this rare item could only be obtained through offering systems and flagship events. However, it was later added to Paimon’s Bargain, where it can be purchased for 50 Masterless Starglitter.
