EA has not yet announced an official release date for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, but a small error might have given players a hint as to when the much-anticipated game will come out.
As the fourth major game in the Dragon Age franchise, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf was announced at The Game Awards in December 2018. The title of the game was specified four years later on June 2, 2022. The Bioware-developed game has not received any announcements since on when it will be released, but a slip-up may have given fans a glimpse at when to expect it.
An EA employee may have accidentally leaked the release window on their LinkedIn profile, and the release window having been edited out since is only building speculation around it.
When will Dragon Age: Dreadwolf come out?
According to a leak on LinkedIn, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will come out in 2024.
EA senior cinematic animator Kevin Scott mentioned on their LinkedIn profile that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf would have a 2024 launch date. As soon as the date started gaining traction, the release window was removed, and the date for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf was replaced with “TBD.”
Because of the timing, it’s uncertain whether the proposed 2024 release date was a simple error or if it was real information that Scott was not permitted to share. The date might also have been edited as a result of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf reportedly being delayed due to recent Bioware layoffs.
Will Dragon Age: Dreadwolf be at The Game Awards?
Although neither EA nor Bioware have given any new information regarding Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, many are expecting the game to make an appearance at The Game Awards.
As the date of The Game Awards quickly approaches, there is speculation in the air that there might be some news released regarding Dragon Age: Dreadwolf during the event. This is because the event has a reputation for unveiling new titles and screening first-time trailers of big games for fans.
Although no Bioware title has been nominated at The Game Awards, Dragon Age: Inquisition did win the Game of the Year award in 2014. Bioware’s prior history with the event and the fact that the next Mass Effect will reportedly not come out until as late as 2029 both make it likely for Dragon Age: Dreadwold to have some presence at The Game Awards.
