Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp has begun his Elden Ring marathon, but fans are already taking bets on how long he’ll last.
When it comes to stubborn endurance, few streamers can match Tyler’s tenacity. Tyler achieved Challenger across all five roles in League of Legends and reached 1900 Elo in chess thanks to that stubbornness. Of course, Tyler typically copes with the difficulty with some memorable reactions.
Upon playing Dark Souls for the first time, it didn’t take long for Tyler to have his patented freakouts. Fans began to wonder if he hated the game or if he was just being Tyler. Now, the raging streamer tackles a new challenge in Elden Ring, but fans doubt that stubbornness will carry him through this time around.
Has Tyler1 played Elden Ring?
Tyler1 began his Elden Ring marathon on September 10, 2024.
Tyler started the stream in his typically over-the-top fashion. Tyler1 popped up on stream with a war cry in full Roman soldier regalia.
“I’m that guy!” Tyler shouted, before awkwardly taking off his helmet and putting on headphones.
Within a few hours of streaming, Tyler’s death count sat at 89. Given Tyler’s strategy of bashing his head against an obstacle until he breaks through, the death count will only grow from there. Many fans began to take bets on whether Tyler will stick to Elden Ring until the end of the week.
Is Tyler1 going to stop playing Elden Ring to watch Worlds 2024?
Tyler1’s Elden Ring marathon stream may end prematurely due to the start of the 2024 League of Legends World Championship.
Those who say he won’t stick to Elden Ring pointed out that Worlds 2024 was over the horizon. The The event is always packed with energy and has plenty of fanfare with mini-events like the reveal of the Worlds anthem. Others insist that his stubborness will see him through, especially if it’s to spite the haters who say he can’t finish the marathon.
However, both sides seem to agree that Tyler1 would need to start learning Elden Ring’s mechanics instead of cheesing things like he usually does. This is set to be a steep climb for him, however. Tyler1 struggled against the game’s first major challenge, Margit, the Fell Omen. He has not demonstrated himself to be a prodigy of the game, so there’s a long road ahead.
At 91 deaths, Tyler began to read chat, and even listened to some advice. Of course, with Twitch chat the way it is, the majority of messages were trolling insults. Time will tell if Tyler can actually finish Elden Ring in a timely manner.
