A Genshin Impact collaboration with McDonald’s is happening across September, allowing players to unlock exclusive rewards, including the new Wings of Delicacies wind glider.
This is hardly the first time Genshin Impact has partnered with fast food chains for limited-time events. In the past, it’s run similar promotions with chains like Domino’s and Pizza Hut, though they were locked to certain regions. This is the case with this McDonald’s collab too; the good news is it’s available in the United States.
The bad news is it’s only available in the States, so any Genshin players outside of the country will be forced to miss out. Still, American fans of the franchise will be able to get themselves a limited-edition piece of in-game merch and some free resources through the Genshin Impact x McDonald’s collab.
How to unlock the Wings of Delicacies in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact players can get the Wings of Delicacies wind glider through the McDonald’s mobile app.
For Genshin Impact players to unlock the Wings of Delicacies for themselves, the process is very simple. It doesn’t even require playing the game, but instead makes use of the official McDonald’s app.
Upon opening the app, there will be a banner advertising the Genshin Impact collab. From there, Genshin fans will need to purchase the collaboration product, which is the Genshin Impact Deluxe McCrispy Meal. Alongside a McCrispy chicken sandwich, the meal comes with fries, a beverage, an apple pie, and a redemption code to use in Genshin Impact.
Anyone already familiar with the process will know what to do next.
For those who don’t, boot up the game and open the options menu. Under Settings / Account, there is an option for redeeming codes. Enter the code, and the Wings of Delicacies will be unlocked, alongside a unique Celebration: Crispy and Sweet namecard.
This isn’t the only event-exclusive reward available through the app either. There is a Genshin Impact Apple Pie that comes with another redemption code. This one unlocks a unique Golden Apple Pastry recipe for Genshin Impact, alongside three Golden Apple Pastries, 20,000 Mora, four Mystic Enhancement Ore, two Hero’s Wit, and 40 Primogems. The last of those can be put towards rolling for new characters, such as the newly added Mualani.

The McDonald’s x Genshin Impact event is scheduled to begin next week on September 17, 2024 and will run until September 29.
Genshin Impact fans in the states won’t have much time to get themselves a Wings of Delicacies glider. The event runs for less than two weeks, so players will need to find the time and stomach space for a McCrispy meal in short order.
It’s unknown if this promotion will become available in other regions. These fast food collaborations are often limited to Asia, so players in other countries can hold out hope.
