A Valorant data miner gave an exact time frame for the reveal of the long-awaited reveal of Agent 26.
Valorant currently has 24 agents on its roster, each with their own distinct abilities and backstory to match. The last reveal was Clove, an immortal agent who can resurrect themselves. They came out on March 26 and Valorant players have already started wondering about who the next agent will be.
Fans got an official teaser trailer in June in the Episode 9 Act 1 trailer. The little pieces of gameplay players saw had the community speculating that this new addition to the roster will be an initiator agent focused on crowd control and defense. Here’s when we might finally see Agent 26 in full.
Valorant Champions 2024 likely to include Agent 26 reveal
The official reveal of Valorant Agent 26 will likely come at Valorant Champions 2024, the season-closing esports event that will take place in Seoul.
Valorant data miner ValorantLeaksEN stated on X that Agent 26 would get an official reveal on August 23. That’s near the end of Valorant Champions Seoul 2024, which runs from August 1 to August 25. This means Agent 26 may get their first trailer during the Finals of the biggest event of the year.
So far, Agent 26 has been kept under wraps, but there are some hints at what the character can do.
First, Valorant Agent 26 will probably have abilities focused on controlling the map around her, including stopping incoming attacks. The teaser also showed a clawed hand at the end of Agent 26’s thorny roots, which could mean they can grasp enemies or reach opposing teams from afar.
The thorny, vine-like imagery left many thinking of Zyra in League of Legends, another Riot Games IP that the company draws on for inspiration. As for Agent 26’s identity, data miners found that their codename is “Sherry.” Leakers believe this could be a hint at her origin, including a nod to a type of wine produced in Spain. There are no Spanish agents yet, which has made this a popular theory.
The agent’s appearance and personality are still completely unknown, but the clawed hand suggests they won’t be mild-mannered. It’s speculated that Agent 26 will come out in September if the previous agent release times are considered. This would line them up for a debut in Valorant Episode 9 Act 2.
