Logan Paul and Thomas “TommyInnit” Simons are in the middle of a public X beef after Tommy mocked Paul for his behavior during a stream featuring former United States President Donald Trump. Here’s what’s been going on between the two content creators.
Paul is a very controversial figure in the streaming world. While he’s been focused on being taken seriously as a WWE wrestler and combat athlete, he’s still making content for fans. This recently included interviewing the former president on his Impaulsive podcast. Fans were already questioning this move in general but TommyInnit pointed out a specific moment on X where Paul advertised his energy drink after discussing a sensitive topic with Trump.
He captioned it: “Right, I’m done.”
Why are Logan Paul and TommyInnit beefing?
TommyInnit criticized elements of Logan Paul’s interview with former president Donald Trump, which frustrated Paul.
As Paul continued to receive backlash for the podcast episode with Trump, he decided to reply directly to TommyInnit with a screenshot of their past texts. This included Tommy supporting Paul and expressing interest in connecting.
“You have TommyInnit’s full faith!” he texted a little over a year ago.
While Paul was aiming to show Tommy’s “offline glaze,” the fans pointed out that the conversation was from 2023. Some even noted that Paul has changed since that conversation, tweeting “you’re annoying now.”
The two streamers continued to share harsh words over X after Paul showed the old DMs. TommyInnit quote tweeted the screenshot and stated: “If the same week I had a daughter I also lost to a beef with TommyInnit, I would kill myself.”
In response, Paul shared even more screenshots of past conversations with Tommy. The screenshots showed TommyInnit asking Paul to grab coffee, with plans being nixed due to the latter being too busy. Tommy then asked to chat or do a collab, both of which Paul also declined.
“Why do you keep posting private messages of me being kind to you? Are you stupid?” TommyInnit replied.
Paul responded soon after: “Because you beg me for attention offline then run to Twitter when I don’t acknowledge you. Another fake internet kid.”
Both streamers razzed by fans over beef
At this point, the community was torn except for snarking at both TommyInnit and Logan Paul. Some still felt that sharing old texts felt irrelevant while others noted that it seemed like people were dog-piling on Paul. Others felt that the texts showed Paul in a bad light, feeling he wasn’t a good friend for continuing to dismiss TommyInnit at the time.
Even iFunny got in on the beef: “Him calling you boss in every other text is giving me chills down my spine.”
For now, the argument is still ongoing. TommyInnit was the last one to quote tweet, sarcastically writing that he was “caught red-handed.” Paul has yet to respond. Maybe he is too busy with his daughter to have internet beef but he’ll likely return. The influencer recently got in an argument with boxer Ryan Garcia as well although this one was on Instagram right on his baby announcement post.
