It’s been a long time since fans got a standalone title based on a DC Comics superhero. There have been games like Gotham Knights and the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, but there hasn’t been a standalone game since point-and-click adventure Batman: The Enemy Within.
When a Wonder Woman game was first confirmed, Warner Bros. Games shared a teaser trailer displaying Wonder Woman herself and snippets of her armor. The company went silent from there, but a new piece of concept art has been leaked via a Monolith Productions employee’s LinkedIn account. This stands as the first bit of official media related to the game in a long while.
Leaked Wonder Woman art hints at characters, art style
A Monolith Software employee posted a new banner image of Wonder Woman on their LinkedIn page, hinting at what fans can expect from the game. The art has since been pulled down.
The new image shows a battle-ready Wonder Woman in a comic book style, rather than the probable in-game renders seen in the teaser trailer and the media that appears on Monolith Productions’ pages. The piece is likely concept art but gives players the first proper look at what Wonder Woman will look like in the game as well as some of her allies.
It is uncertain if the art was meant to be shown, but its quick deletion suggests that it wasn’t. Fans quickly copied the image and posted it elsewhere, allowing others to get a proper look.
This raises the question of whether more news about Wonder Woman is coming soon. The silence surrounding the game makes it unclear how deep development actually is and when the game could come out. The leak notably came shortly before Gamescom 2023.
