Wuthering Waves: The best ways to farm astrite

wuthering waves jinhsi

Astrite is how F2P players can afford all those wonderful characters in Wuthering Waves, and thankfully, there are ways to farm it.

Wuthering Waves made a splash in the gacha action-adventure space as a competitor to Genshin Impact. While Genshin Impact is still quite a bit bigger, Wuthering Waves is slowly but surely gaining traction among fans for its differences from Genshin Impact.

Namely, Wuthering Waves places a deeper emphasis on combat, with more complex skills and systems than its HoYoverse competitor. That said, Wuthering Waves remains similar in some ways, namely the gacha system and its unique currency, astrite.

How to farm astrite in Wuthering Waves

There are multiple ways to gain astrite, even as a F2P player. Players need to spend these to obtain characters in Wuthering Waves. Each roll, called Tides in Wuthering Waves, costs 160 of the special currency. With that in mind, here are the best ways to farm astrite in Wuthering Waves:

Quests

Quests are the most reliable and plentiful method of farming astrite. Players will unlock daily quests upon reaching Huanglong Chapter 1, Act 3. These dailies offer a maximum of 60 per day.

Story quests and side quests offer significantly more rewards, especially as the game progresses. With hundreds of quests available, players essentially just get rewards from playing the game normally.

In-game progress (milestones, data bank, achievements)

Be sure to monitor player progress, as they may reap special rewards. Reaching milestones, filling the Data Bank, and hunting for achievements offer a fun way to farm astrite.

Of the three, achievements offer the most engaging activities, as they will pair up with milestones and quests. Grab the easier achievements early for the best newcomer experience.

Tutorials and Trials

Wuthering Waves offers tutorials of its systems and gameplay, then rewards players for completing them. The tutorials aren’t challenging, but a good way to get started. A slightly more challenging yet rewarding activity is Character Trials.

Each character has a trial that teaches the player about their nuances in-game. These have the double benefit of giving the player more knowledge about a new character’s playstyle.

First-Time Clears

Clearing World Bosses for the first time will reward the players with extra loot. In addition to world bosses, Tacet Fields also offers unique rewards when cleared for the first time.

Given the map’s scale of Wuthering Waves, players have plenty of locations to gain by just exploring the map for new bosses and tacet fields.

Cooking and Synthesis

As an action game, many players may not realize that other skills also provide rewards in Wuthering Waves. Maximizing the proficiency of a meal or potion in Wuthering Waves grants bountiful boons. Players can gather ingredients from the world or buy some from Mahe’s Grocery, near Shifang Pharmacy. The same is true for synthesizing potions. Much like cooking, it requires different ingredients.

Be very careful when buying ingredients, as some of them are infinite stock. Players used to weekly item limits from other games, such as in Genshin Impact, may find themselves bankrupt after buying hundreds of thousands of credits worth of flour accidentally.

Special Events

Special events may bring promotional codes, new quests, and log-in rewards. Keep a close eye on Wuthering Waves socials for upcoming events, especially their start dates and deadlines.

Exploration quests from events will typically feature astrite rewards, while log-in rewards give out Tides outright.

Endgame Zones

The endgame content still gives plenty of rewards for skilled players.  The Illusive Realm, Tower of Adversity, and Hologram Bosses offer the most astrite awards per task than any other F2P method.

However, they are also some of the toughest parts of the game. Even with regular resets, players may struggle to achieve rewards in this way, but the boons are well worth it.
