Zenless Zone Zero version 1.5 is coming and fans already know its release date and what’s actually on tap.
It didn’t take long for ZZZ 1.4 to start winding down. Though it landed with a splash thanks to the additions of Hoshimi Miyabi, free S-rank agent in Harumasa, and a new story chapter, it didn’t take long for players to blaze their way through the new game content. Since then, players have had to make do by descrambling artwork and, well, that’s it.
That’s left players wondering about version 1.5 and it’s set to be a deceptively large one. Here’s what the developers have planned, and when players will be able to get it.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.5 update release date
Zenless Zone Zero version 1.5 has a release date of January 22, 2025.
Despite the size and scope of version 1.4, HoYoverse didn’t change its development cadence for the update. Version 1.5 will come out about one month removed from the release of version 1.4. The update broke from HoYo tradition by running both limited-time characters at the same time for the duration of the patch. Though the decision was welcomed by fans, it did make for an unceremonious second half of the update.
Things will be exciting again before long, though. Naturally, a special program is expected ahead of this, which will officially outline everything that’s on offer.
Zenless Zone Zero version 1.5 new content and characters
Zenless Zone Zero version 1.5 will add new agents Astra Yao and Evelyn, and is also set to introduce character skins.
Players who progressed through ZZZ 1.4’s story content got to meet the two upcoming agents; Astra Yao and Evelyn. Astra Yao is an ether-support agent, similar to Nicole. She’s the first limited-time support agent and is the long-awaited third ether agent. While it’s a strange decision to add another ether support agent when there’s no stunner or anomaly agent, Astra Yao is set to be a big part of the game moving forward. Astra Yao will become available for pulling immediately after Zenless Zone Zero 1.5’s release date.
Following her is Evelyn, a fire-attacker agent. She’s the second S-rank fire attacker, following Soldier 11 but looks to be a significant upgrade over the lone member of OBOL Squad. Naturally, she’s set to have strong synergy with Astra Yao as well as fire stunner Lighter.
Those who are just content with using Nicole and Evelyn will also have something of interest, though. Agent skins are likely set to arrive with Zenless Zone Zero 1.5.
Test versions of ZZZ include a new look for Nicole, sporting a new ensemble that includes a denim vest. The skin includes a full overhaul of the character’s in-game appearance, down to their menu portraits.
Players can expect new skins to arrive for more characters moving forward.
