ZZZ: All Seed ascension and boss materials & what you can farm right now

seed zenless zone zero

The first limited S-rank agent of ZZZ 2.2 update is Seed and players have access to all the boss and ascension materials they need to max her out.

Seed’s kit and moves have officially been revealed, and this new agent will bring something unique to the table. The third member of Obol Squad is set to be an attacker-support hybrid, offering damage of her own while also buffing teammates. It’s a unique kit that ought to make Seed a great pull for lasting account value.

But no character in Zenless Zone Zero provides anything out of the box. Players need to invest resources into them, and that means farming up ascension materials and a dump truck full of Dennies.

Skill materials for electric agents in ZZZ

Seed is an electric attack agent, meaning she will use the standard progression of Shock Chips.

There are no surprises in terms of what Seed needs in this regard. Here’s the full list of everything she needs to have each skill maxed out:

  • Level 2: 2 Basic Shock Chips, 2,000 Dennies
  • Level 3: 3 Basic Shock Chips, 3,000 Dennies
  • Level 4: 2 Advanced Shock Chips and 6,000 Dennies
  • Level 5: 3 Advanced Shock Chips and 9,000 Dennies
  • Level 6: 4 Advanced Shock Chips and 12,000 Dennies
  • Level 7: 6 Advanced Shock Chips and 18,000 Dennies
  • Level 8: 5 Specialized Shock Chips and 45,000 Dennies
  • Level 9: 8 Specialized Shock Chips and 67,500 Dennies
  • Level 10: 10 Specialized Shock Chips and 90,000 Dennies
  • Level 11: 12 Specialized Shock Chips and 112,500 Dennies
  • Level 12: 15 Specialized Shock Chips, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 135,000 Dennies

Worth noting is that this lineup of materials is required for each skill. That means ZZZ players will need this lineup of materials five times over to fully max out Seed.

Thankfully, these materials are fairly easy to get. The quickest way to farm them is with Bertha at the HIA, with 20 battery charge translating to one Specialized Shock Chip and two or three Advanced Shock Chips. That said, players can also get five Basic Shock Chips for free each day by having an S-rank electric agent working at Random Play. Fellow electric attackers Harumasa and Soldier 0 Anby, Rina, Trigger, Grace, and Yanagi can all fit in this role. Finally, players can go to the Signal Shop and get up to 50 Advanced Shock Chips per month by trading in Fading Signal.

Ascension materials to max out Seed in Zenless Zone Zero

Players can get Seed’s ascension materials by visiting the HIA.

While Seed is an attacker-support hybrid in terms of her kit, she’s still officially an attacker agent. That means she needs attacker certification materials, which breaks down thusly:

  • Level 20: 4 Basic Attack Certification Seals and 24,000 Dennies
  • Level 30: 12 Advanced Attack Certification Seals and 56,000 Dennies
  • Level 40: 20 Advanced Attack Certification Seals and 120,000 Dennies
  • Level 50: 10 Pioneer’s Certification Seals and 200,000 Dennies
  • Level 60: 20 Pioneer’s Certification Seals and 400,000 Dennies

While players can come by Shock Chips in a variety of ways, certification seals aren’t as broadly available. Players will inevitably need to visit Bertha at the HIA to farm them. For 20 battery charge, players get one Pioneer’s Certification Seal and one or two Advanced Attack Certification Seals.

Six Basic Attack Certification Seals will be available through Seed’s demo. While that’s not much, it is enough to get her up to level 20.

Core skill boss materials for Seed in ZZZ

Players will need to farm boss materials from the Miasma Priest and Lumberjack in order to max out Seed’s core skills.

Seed shares the Lumberjack Expert Challenge boss with her teammate Trigger and Soldier 0 Anby. In a bit of a surprise twist, her Notorious Hunt boss is actually the Miasma Priest. This will make Seed the first non-Suibian Temple ZZZ agent to get boss materials from the Miasma Priest.

Here’s the breakdown of everything Seed needs:

  • A: 5,000 Dennies
  • B: 2 Higher Dimensional Data: Mortal Cleave and 12,000 Dennies
  • C: 4 Higher Dimensional Data: Mortal Cleave and 28,000 Dennies
  • D: 9 Higher Dimensional Data: Mortal Cleave, 2 Exuvia of Refinement, and 60,000 Dennies
  • E: 15 Higher Dimensional Data: Mortal Cleave, 3 Exuvia of Refinement, and 100,000 Dennies
  • F: 30 Higher Dimensional Data: Mortal Cleave, 4 Exuvia of Refinement, and 200,000 Dennies

As ever, players need to level Seed up to unlock each step of her core skill. The good news is that while Zenless Zone Zero version 2.2 is set to introduce new bosses, players don’t have to wait in order to get everything they need for Seed.
