Arcane Viktor VGU release date leaked for League of Legends

Viktor in League of Legends Arcane

As the final season of Arcane draws to a close, evidence of a VGU for Viktor in League of Legends has surfaced.

Arcane topped Netflix charts at #1 for weeks, and Season 2, Act 3 was no different. The exciting conclusion to Riot’s runaway hit based on League of Legends has brought new fans to the franchise. While many joke about League of Legends destroying newbies, it’s a positive experience for the community. That said, some Arcane fans may find the appearance of their favorite characters wildly different from the show.

In particular, Viktor’s final evolution in the game proper differs greatly from the Lovecraftian aesthetic of Arcane’s iteration. That said, Arcane fans may see a more familiar version of their hero soon.

When is the release date of Arcane Viktor VGU?

The VGU of Arcane Viktor will reportedly premiere on December 11, 2024, just a few weeks after Arcane’s intense finale.

Fans can relive the final evolution through League of Legends. Viktor will reportedly get a visual overhaul closer to his Arcane design, a more techno-organic look than the plated look currently in the game.

These leaks come primarily from League of Leaks, a notable leaker account. The information was data mined from the PBE (Public Beta Environment) earlier in November, but League of Legends creator Big Bad Bear has revealed more details in a new video.

Will the Viktor get gameplay changes in League of Legends?

In addition to cosmetic changes, Viktor’s VGU will have minor gameplay changes, such as a larger ultimate.

With the information so far, Viktor’s VGU likely won’t reach the same depth as the Skarner VGU, which fundamentally changed Skarner’s gameplay. As for his lore, it remains unsure whether his in-game backstory will change. Given the massive implications of Arcane’s finale, it would almost certainly retcon large parts of Viktor’s motivations and personality.

Some fans have expressed disappointment in the upcoming change. Several champions have received VGUs tied to the Void, and Arcane’s version of Viktor is undeniably intertwined with the setting. Even so, fans of Arcane will likely welcome the messianic nightmare they’ve come to know and love in League of Legends.
