CaitVi, as their fans call them, share an emotionally charged kiss while on a mission in Zaun. Caitlin forms what can be called “the hextech squad” that aims to prevent a full-on invasion, using hextech weapons that Jayce has developed. Vi asks Caitlyn to promise that she’ll never change, and Caitlin responds by kissing her before the two go after Jinx.
Riot Game’s majority owner Tencent is responsible for the suppression of media featuring LGBTQ relationships. Many thought that this crackdown could have an effect on Caitlyn and Vi in Arcane Season 2. But showrunners Alex Yee and Christian Linke confirmed in 2022 that fans would be pleased with how their relationship develops.

After they part on disagreeable terms, viewers won’t see Caitlyn and Vi together for the next two episodes. Caitlyn has accepted a commanding position to lead an underworld invasion and is sleeping with a junior officer. Meanwhile, Vi is back in Zaun helping Jinx to find Vander.
Will CaitVi make up by the end of Season 2? Given that Riot committed to showing an on-screen kiss, it’s likely that fans will at least get more romantic tension.
