Judging from leaks, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League may have unlockable characters including Killer Croc.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is the latest DC Comics-based title being developed by Rocksteady Studios. Rocksteady was long known for its work on the Arkham series of games starring Batman. But unlike previous titles, this one has players controlling a team of villains looking to take down heroes; albeit heroes controlled by the villain Brainiac.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s alpha test is underway, meaning players can experience the game firsthand. Naturally, this has resulted in some leaks making their way online. Foremost among them is the possible reveal that there may be unlockable characters in the game, starting with Killer Croc.
Is Killer Croc playable in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League?
There is no official confirmation that Killer Croc is playable, but leaks are strongly suggesting he will be.
Miller Ross is a leaker who has broken stories on other games in the past, including the end of of development on Marvel’s Avengers. He pointedly teased that Killer Croc could be coming to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with a series of emojis after obtaining an alpha version of the game.
There are potentially three post-launch playable characters for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Ross noted that one of the characters was a woman, and they were said to have some interesting traversal options, which has led to much fan speculation on social media. The game seems to have a few gameplay surprises not shown in the marketing.
It is unclear if there are fully fledged new characters coming to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League or if Killer Croc might just be a reskin of King Shark. Given the live-service approach to the game, adding more playable characters over time would make sense.
Will Catwoman or Poison Ivy be playable in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League?
There is no official confirmation that Catwoman or Poison Ivy will be playable in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.
Speculation regarding the characters follows the possible leak of Killer Croc and a claim that another woman will be playable in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with unique movement tools. There’s nothing concrete about either character being playable but both Catwoman and Poison Ivy fit the bill as villains that could fit in the game.
While Catwoman is a reasonable pick as she is one of DC’s most iconic characters and could have her whip utilized for moving around Metropolis. Poison Ivy is canonically dead in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, as they take place in the same timeline and universe as the Arkham series where she dies saving Gotham. That said, comic books have been known to bring characters back to life all the time and Poison Ivy was actually a member of the comic book Suicide Squad team in the early 1990s.
Fans will ultimately have to wait until confirmation or the actual release date to get an answer.
