Best pull cards so far in Pokemon TCG Pocket: Fantastical Parade

Pokemon TCG Pocket is introducing plenty of best pull cards with Fantastical Parade.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is ready to release its latest set, Fantastical Parade, complete with a new set of the best pull cards to aim for.

It’s already time for Pokemon TCG Pocket to drop a new collection of cards sure to please competitive players and collectors alike. Since Mega Rising, the game has changed dramatically alongside the introduction of mega evolutions. Yet there are still tons of additions left to make, with one more coming soon.

Fantastical Parade drops before January is out with plenty of new pull cards to track down. Here are some of the best Pokemon that players can look forward to.

What are the best cards to pull so far from Fantastical Parade?

Fantastical Parade brings several new mega evolutions as potential best pull cards in the set.

The trailer shows two new mega evolutions: Mega Gardevoir ex and Mega Mawile ex. Mega Gardevoir functions similarly to the original card in Genetic Apex, but better. It deals 110 damage for only two energy and also distributes three energy among any psychic Pokemon in play. Essentially, it becomes a much faster ramp for Mewtwo ex or Gengar ex.

Meanwhile, Mega Mawile has the advantage of being a basic Pokemon that can get into play off the bat. Though it starts with only 60 damage, the card does an extra 30 stacking damage for every turn that it remains in the active spot. Additionally, it only needs two energy to get going.

The truly meta-changing card may just be Mega Medicham ex, who will be coming in a February drop event. It deals at least 110 damage for three energy and can deal 40 more for every psychic energy attached. Where the card shines though is that the attack’s damage ignores any effects on the opponent’s active Pokemon.

Mega Medicham ex is particularly notable because it may finally break Oricorio’s stronghold against ex cards.

Other notable cards included in the trailer are Teal Mask Ogerpon ex, who does the most damage to high energy opponents, and Mimikyu ex, who doesn’t take damage at the first hit. Additionally, Falinks receives the only featured full art so far.

Fantastical Parade introduces stadium cards to the meta

With the potential to boost some of the best decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket or become the best pull cards themselves, stadium cards are the new trainer cards coming to Fantastical Parade.

Stadium cards in the physical Pokemon card game change the battlefield of a match. One party plays the card that then remains in effect until the opponent plays another stadium or the game ends. Only one stadium can be active at a time.

Importantly, whatever the stadium card says applies to both players. It’s likely that it will work the same or similarly in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

So far, the only stadium card players have gotten to see is Peculiar Plaza. This card reduces the retreat cost energy by two for every psychic-type Pokemon in play on both sides. Decks like Mewtwo/Gardevoir and Giratina, should they also be able to lay Peculiar Plaza, may get boosted in the current competitive meta.

Fantastical Parade comes to Pokemon TCG Pocket as set B2 rather than B1b, suggesting that it may have more cards than the typical themed booster. If this is the case, players will want to start stockpiling hourglasses now to account for the increased rarity of pull cards.

With plenty of the best pull cards available for players to get, Fantastical Parade will surely offer something for every type of player. The set goes live on January 28 at 8 pm EST and has plenty of cards and events to look forward to.
