Best ways to farm Hugo materials in ZZZ for promotion and skills

zzz hugo materials

Hugo’s release is fast approaching, and ZZZ players can start gathering his ascension and forte materials if they plan to add him to their team.

Hugo, the current leader of Mockingbird, is set to become a playable character in Zoneless Zone Zero. In ZZZ version 1.7, players can look forward to pulling for him and uncovering more about the faction, including his possible connection to former member Lycaon. As for his kit, Hugo is an Ice Attacker who can deal huge bursts of damage and will likely rely on working with stun agents such as Lighter.

The upcoming agent is expected to debut alongside Vivian’s release, likely in the second half of version 1.7. Thanks to reliable leaks, players now have a full list of ZZZ Hugo materials to prepare him for battle once he joins the team.

All Hugo promotion materials in ZZZ

Players looking to assemble promotion materials for Hugo will need to be sure to stock up on some batteries, as reaching level 90 on Hugo means collecting both different tiers of attack certification seals and a hefty number of dennies.

  • Level 20: 4 Basic Attack Certification Seal and 24,000 dennies
  • Level 30: 12 Advanced Attack Certification Seal and 56,000 dennies
  • Level 40: 20 Advanced Attack Certification Seal and 120,000 dennies
  • Level 50: 10 Pioneer’s Certification Seal and 200,000 dennies
  • Level 60: 20 Pioneer’s Certification Seal and 400,000 dennies

It’s no surprise that Hugo requires Attack Certification Seals, as every Attack agent released to date needs them for leveling up. To obtain these, players must head to the HIA Club and enter Combat Simulation. Players can sometimes also pick some up from the 141 Convenience Store, provided they have enough dennies to spare.

Hugo skill level-up materials

Proxies need to farm an assortment of Freeze Chips, Hamster Cage and dennies in gathering level-up materials for Hugo.

  • Level 2: 2 Basic Freeze Chips, 2,000 dennies
  • Level 3: 3 Basic Freeze Chips, 3,000 dennies
  • Level 4: 2 Advanced Freeze Chips and 6,000 dennies
  • Level 5: 3 Advanced Freeze Chips and 9,000 dennies
  • Level 6: 4 Advanced Freeze Chips and 12,000 dennies
  • Level 7: 6 Advanced Freeze Chips and 18,000 dennies
  • Level 8: 5 Specialized Freeze Chips and 45,000 dennies
  • Level 9: 8 Specialized Freeze Chips and 67,500 dennies
  • Level 10: 10 Specialized Freeze Chips and 90,000 dennies
  • Level 11: 12 Specialized Freeze Chips and 112,500 dennies
  • Level 12: 15 Specialized Freeze Chips, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 135,000 dennies

The VR Device’s Combat Simulation mode is the primary source of tactical chips like Freeze Chips. Players should select Agent Skill, then Icing Test to farm them. For those looking to save batteries or skip the grind, converting Original Chips into Freeze Chips is also an option.

The Hamster Cage Pass is ZZZ’s equivalent of Genshin Impact’s Crown of Insight, a rare item required to upgrade skills to level 12. So far, there are two main ways to obtain it: from flagship events that occur with each new patch, and by reaching level 30 of the battle pass. Players who purchase the premium battle pass can get an additional Hamster Cage Pass.

All Hugo core skill materials

To upgrade Hugo’s core skills, proxies will have to hunt for materials including Higher Dimensional Data: Murderous Obituary, Finale Dance Shoes, and dennies.

  • A: 5,000 dennies
  • B: 2 Higher Dimensional Data: Murderous Obituary and 12,000 dennies
  • C: 4 Higher Dimensional Data: Murderous Obituary and 28,000 dennies
  • D: 9 Higher Dimensional Data: Murderous Obituary, 2 Finale Dance Shoes, and 60,000 dennies
  • E: 15 Higher Dimensional Data: Murderous Obituary, 3 Finale Dance Shoes, and 100,000 dennies
  • F: 30 Higher Dimensional Data: Murderous Obituary, 4 Finale Dance Shoes and 200,000 dennies

To get the Finale Dance Shoes, players must fight one of the Notorious Hunt bosses called the Twin Marionettes. This mode is only unlocked after hitting Inter-knot level 26 and completing the Chapter 2 of the game’s main quest. Each fight provides one piece of Finale Dance Shoes, but players can have three free runs per week. Other materials will be given upon claiming its drops including Interknot Credit, Tuning materials and dennies.

On the flip side, players can get their hands on the expert challenge boss material by defeating Notorious – Dullahan.
