Douyin is showing up to the party in Dress to Impress, and fans outside of China can take plenty of inspiration from their outfits.
China has a different version of TikTok called Douyin. On this platform, beauty influencers came up with a new makeup trend that grew popular and took on the app’s name. It’s now known as Douyin. What began as a makeup trend has now evolved into a clothing aesthetic, ultimately making its way to DTI. Winning the Douyin theme requires an understanding of its basic aesthetic. Douyin focuses on short skirts, bows, trending Chinese makeup, and layering.
The color palette is flexible, but incorporating glitter into the outfit or makeup is essential.
DTI Douyin theme ideas
Here are two ideas for Douyin-inspired outfits in DTI. The first look is for the free version, and the second one is for players who have some spare stars to purchase shop items.
To achieve the Douyin theme for a look, focus on using bows and layering. Make sure to get a glittery makeup look from the salon. Since the female section doesn’t have a front-open jacket available yet, head to the male section and pick up the brown one. If players don’t have enough stars to buy the minimal leg warmers, they can opt for the free, fluffy ones that are near the Halloween items stall. Any free boots should work for shoes.
Finally, change the colors of all items and experiment with patterns. A black-and-white theme works well, but in a hypercritical lobby, brighter tones of pink or purple are a safer choice.
For the advanced version, go to the dressing booth, which is meant for codes and items bought with stars. Open your clothing collection and opt for the ruffled skirt. Change all colors to lighest shade of pink and the glitter effect will come from the skirt material. Now, select the glitter dress and go to the toggles. Click on number four to get just the sleeves.
