With the release date of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on the horizon, fans will want to know when they can preload it, the game’s download size, and how to start playing early.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is the dawn of a new day for the iconic series. Being the revival of the dormant Budokai Tenkaichi series, various gamers new and old are collectively excited to jump into the game when it comes out.
Because Sparking Zero is so close to launch, more information is out about the game. In addition to the preload date, fans will also want to know how much space they’ll have to clear up to download the game, regardless of the platform they’re playing on. Here are all the necessary details.
How to play Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero early
Players who purchase the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition can play the game three days before release.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s release date is Thursday, October 10, 2024, for players who purchase the standard version. However, those who grab the deluxe or ultimate edition can play the game on Monday, October 7, 2024.
For context, pre-ordering the base game costs $69.99, while the deluxe edition will set players back $99.99. The ultimate edition retails for $109.99, making it the most expensive version. As expected, the higher the cost the more in-game goodies and unlocked characters players can expect.
The deluxe version gives players the following:
- The base game
- Three-days early access to the game
- Early access to the season pass, which includes DLC 1, 2, and 3
- Summon Shenron
On the other hand, the ultimate edition gives players the following:
- The base game
- Three-days early access to the game
- Early access to the season pass, which includes DLC 1, 2, and 3

- The ultimate upgrade pack
Finally, pre-ordering any version of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will let players unlock the three Dragon Ball Super versions of Gogeta and Broly. The exclusive Daima version of Goku will also be playable as a pre-order bonus.

Many players assumed the game would require over 70GB of storage space thanks to details from the Xbox Store. However, that isn’t the case.
