Capcom’s open-world RPG came out in March 2024 for all modern consoles and PC. The game received great praise for its gameplay but was criticized for including microtransactions. Regardless, the game sold 2.5 million copies in less than 2 weeks, firmly establishing the game as a big win for Capcom. That commercial success effectively guaranteed DLC for the game.
The publisher was surveying fans on potential DLC expansions not long after release, but nothing materialized. That’s set to change, as new information suggests the Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC is coming.

Capcom hasn’t announced anything officially but encrypted files leaked by data miners suggest Dragon’s Dogma 2 might get a DLC.
Developers have made changes to hidden files for the game, suggesting that DLC is coming. These files are listed as unknown apps but are tagged as DLC. Hidden files related to DLC have existed in the game for approximately 5 months. This timeline aligns with the user survey Capcom conducted in May 2024.
While this leak points to an upcoming DLC, Capcom hasn’t officially announced plans to release one. However, earlier leaks had suggested that Capcom would release an expansion for Dragon’s Dogma 2 in the future.
When could the Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC be released?
Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC could be released in 2025 or 2026. Capcom hasn’t officially confirmed the DLC but an expansion releasing in 2025 could be possible.
Dragon’s Dogma: The Dark Arisen DLC was released for the original game’s near the one-year mark. Likely, Capcom will follow the same schedule for the sequel.
