Find out all the FNAF: Help Wanted 2 release date, gameplay info

five nights at freddy's help wanted

All the key details for Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 are now out in the open with fans able to sneak a peek at the gameplay, mark down its release date, and plan which platform to get it on.

Steel Wool Studios released Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted on May 28, 2019. The success of the single-player VR game yielded a sequel that was revealed as a PSVR2 title during a PlayStation promotional event. After a quiet spell from the studio, new information has finally come with a gameplay trailer and confirmed release date.

The gameplay trailer gives players a glimpse of what they can expect from the mini-games included in the title. Additionally, the developers have confirmed that the game will not be a PSVR2 exclusive, as many fans were assuming.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 release date confirmed

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 will be released on December 14, 2023 for PSVR2.

The game is not available for pre-order and the price has not yet been revealed. Its predecessor cost $29.99, so it’s possible the new game won’t carry a full price tag. A physical release has not been announced yet and if this game follows in the footsteps of the first game, there won’t be a physical release at all. Games like Baldur’s Gate 3 received a physical version months after the digital release, so it’s possible that this title could receive similar treatment.

To keep fans occupied until it’s released, players who already own the first game can upgrade it from PSVR to PSVR2 for $10. Not only does the upgraded version support the PS5 and PSVR2 but it also has enhanced visuals and improved framerates.

Will Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 come out on PC?

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 will also be dropping on PC the same day as the PSVR2 release.

Although many fans were assuming that the game would be a PSVR2 exclusive because of it being advertised as such, the developers have confirmed that it isn’t. According to a reply on X, the game will be released on December 14, the same day as the PSVR2 release. This means that there’s the possibility of it coming to other platforms similar to the prequel.

What mini-games are in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2?

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 will feature iconic minigames like concentration, range, and whack-a-mole.

The lineup of confirmed mini-games includes:

  • Customer service where players will have to provide customers with food.
  • Technical support which will have players repairing the animatronics.
  • Safety and security where players will have to stop the animatronics from malfunctioning.
  • Game-Testing which seems to be like the card game “Concentration.”
  • Test driving ride attractions which will function as a shooting range.
  • Glamour and Fashion will have players customize animatronics with make-up.
  • A whack-a-mole arcade game.

The game promises jumpscares, as fans would expect from a Five Nights at Freddy’s game. One of the major game modes is a VR adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location, a story-based title with each night having a separate task for the night shift maintenance staff to do.

Additionally, although there were previously rumors of this game having multiplayer or co-op like Phasmaphobia or new Twitch sensation Lethal Company, that isn’t the case. Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 will strictly be a single-player-only game.
