Valorant is all fun and games until it’s time to check the budget and players see just how much money they’ve spent on skins. Thankfully, Riot makes it easy for fans to track how much money they’ve used on the game.
Like any modern free-to-play title, Valorant’s lifeblood is through microtransactions. Whether that’s the in-game currency or unique cosmetics, Valorant continues its success through these virtual purchases. For players, it’s all too easy to lose track of how many virtual purchases have gone through the Valorante ecosystem.
Checking one’s purchase history doesn’t have to come from a place of negativity. One may want to check their purchase history for financial records or to observe patterns in their buying behavior. Regardless of the reason, it’s not hard for Valorant players to track their purchase history in the game.
How much have I spent on Valorant?
Players can see how much they’ve spent Valorant through their purchase history on the official Valorant support site.
The official Valorant support site provides an easy way for players to see records of their purchases. Players only need to log into the site and click a button that automatically displays their total expenses. Once done, the site displays the date, Valorant Points, payment methods, and amount spent on transactions.
However, it’s worth noting the table will not display what was actually purchased with the currency, in-game or otherwise. Still, it’s the best way for players to get an overview of their purchasing history.
Though Valorant is a free-to-play game, it’s possible to spend massive amounts of money on it. Some of the skin bundles available in the game cost a massive sum, and their limited availability is a nightmare for those afflicted by FOMO. Though not nearly as predatory as certain gacha games, more than a few Valorant players have spent more money than they should’ve on the game.
Do I have to spend money to play Valorant?
Valorant is a free-to-play game that can be enjoyed without spending any money. Its monetization system is consistent across PC and consoles, with players able to unlock characters by playing the game while skins are mostly gated behind microtransactions.
Social media posts and community polls imply most Valorant players don’t spend a dime on the game.
While Riot hasn’t put out the purchasing histories of players for obvious reasons, those players are far more honest in online communities. In a March 2024 Reddit thread, players shared how much they spent on the game.
“Nothing. I’m happy with just picking up skins off the ground whenever possible. Many rounds I have one without spending anything,” said the most popular comment on the thread, with 221 upvotes. Of course, other popular comments noted purchases going as high as over $1,000. For players that feel like they may have a problem, getting Valorant refunds may be in order.
