With over 23 million units sold, it’s no surprise that Elden Ring has cultivated a passionate fanbase, eager to see more of the Lands Between. Fans already got a glimpse of Shadow of the Erdtree’s bosses and the unique “reset” of their Elden Ring character that will guarantee a challenge.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree previews arrive weeks before release date
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC previews will begin on June 4, 2024.
Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson posted on social media that Elden Ring previews would be coming out very soon. Henderson did not divulge more details about the previews, but fans won’t have to wait long anyway.
If it’s anything like the previews for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, media members and influencers will be brought together for a behind-closed-doors demo. FromSoftware flew out an unknown number of prominent content creators and writers from major gaming media outlets to play Armored Core 6 last year. Henderson stated a preview event in Paris on May 29, so those individuals are likely scrambling to get their videos and articles together for that day.
There’s no word of any kind of network test or demo that will be available to players, however. Elden Ring’s base game had a network test that featured much of Limgrave. It was a perfect showcase of what Elden Ring had to offer and generated hype for the game’s eventual release.
These early previews will likely tease new bosses, weapons, and spells.
Are there early reviews for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree yet?
Elden Ring DLC reviews will not start coming in until some time after this.
The developers will likely send these codes out on a date closer to release. As for the embargo, there’s no word on when reviews will start being published.
Elden Ring’s review embargo was lifted two days before its February 25, 2022 release. Shadow of the Erdtree will likely be similar. Nevertheless, as long as the DLC offers the same level of quality, fans won’t be disappointed.
