Popular Hololive vtuber duo FUWAMOCO posted on social media that they had an important announcement for fans, and while they clarified that it isn’t a graduation, Mococo will now be going on a break from the duo’s streams.
Hololive’s twin vtubers Fuwawa Abyssgard and Mococo Abyssgard, known together as FUWAMOCO, have become an important part of the agency’s talent pool since their debut. Recently, the duo scheduled a stream and informed fans that it’d be an important announcement. Some fans were worried about whether the two were graduating.
The announcement has since gone live, and it isn’t a graduation; instead, Mococo is going on a break.

Why is Mococo going on break?
FUWAMOCO announced in a recent livestream that vtuber Mococo had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease earlier in 2026, and this has led to the content creator taking a break from streaming.
Mococo revealed that she was trying to stream despite the diagnosis, and that things seemed promising. But her health has recently been getting worse, and she will have to take an indefinite break in order to pursue proper care.
The duo further elaborated that this is a mutual decision, as Mococo has no choice, and it’s unclear when she’ll be able to return to streaming. Time off is necessary so Mococo can rest and hopefully get better soon. It was at least confirmed during the stream that the vtuber’s voice remains unaffected.
The bright spot in this gloomy announcement is that Fuwawa will still try to stream alone whenever she’s able to. Mococo also stated she will provide all the help she can to her streaming partner, but she requested that fans don’t ask about her health in the meantime. She said she will update fans whenever she can.
Fans have expressed sadness that they may have to wait to see the duo stream again, but they also wished Mococo a speedy recovery.
This also isn’t the first time the FUWAMOCO streaming duo has gone on a break, but the previous hiatus in 2026 was due to Fuwawa having to stay away from streaming following surgery. Fortunately, Mococo doesn’t seem to require such a medical procedure for the time being, as she didn’t say anything about it during the stream. But she has stated that stress and streaming were taking a toll on her.
Mococo hasn’t confirmed anything about her potential return, but for reference, fellow popular vtuber Ironmouse also has an autoimmune disorder and she streams despite the issue. But such illnesses can affect different people in very different ways, so only time will tell what Mococo is able to do.
