Massively popular independent vtuber Ironmouse has just announced that she will be conducting a subathon, and here’s all the information we know about her upcoming Mouseathon event.
Ironmouse was a founding talent of vtuber agency VShojo, making a name for herself and collaborating with several other creators. The vtuber went independent in 2025 after facing monetary issues with VShojo, but maintained her popularity. Ironmouse has now surprised fans by revealing that Mouseathon is set to return.
When will Ironmouse’s Mouseathon 2026 begin?
Ironmouse will begin hosting the much-anticipated Mouseathon 2026 event beginning on September 1, live on Twitch.
Ironmouse announced her upcoming Mouseathon event in a black-and-white cartoonish video, featuring a graveyard and a hand pushing out of a grave. The vtuber ended the video with the words “Legend has it she gets knocked down, but she gets up again. You’re never going to keep her down.” The video then shifts to an announcement of the subathon, including the start date and where to watch.
Mouseathon Returns will start on September 1, 2026, and will continue for at least one full month. Ironmouse’s subathons have a timer that increases the time for every subscription received, extending the duration of the stream, and zero marks the end of the event.
For reference, her 2024 subathon lasted for a full 39 days.
The upcoming subathon will be livestreamed on Ironmouse’s Twitch channel, and the platform has already shown its eager support for the event by adding a free global Mouseathon badge, which viewers will soon be able to unlock.
The format of the event remains unknown at the time, but it’s possible to infer what Ironmouse will stream based on her previous subathon events. Ironmouse previously put out Just Chatting streams, gaming streams, karaoke exhibitions, and even sleeping content during her prior subathons.
The vtuber is particularly known for collaborating with other popular creators, as she featured VShojo members and her friend Connor “CDawgVA” Marc Colquhoun during her streams.
Ironmouse has also used her subathons as a fundraiser of sorts for the Immune Deficiency Foundation, pledging a percentage of her total subathon revenue to the organization. The vtuber will likely do the same for this upcoming Mouseathon in 2026.
The vtuber has also broken several records during her previous subathons and has been credited by many for bringing her fellow vtubers to a more mainstream audience space.
Ironmouse previously dethroned Kai Cenat as most-subscribed Twitch streamer spot
The vtuber’s 2024 subathon event was her most successful to date, as she reached 326,252 subscriptions during its 39 days. This was a massive figure, and through achieving it, Ironmouse became the most-subscribed streamer on Twitch, dethroning the popular Kai Cenat.
The record was also noteworthy as it highlighted exactly how a vtuber could take on a mainstream streamer’s milestones and even cross them. But it was just a short while later that Kai Cenat reclaimed his number one spot during Mafiathon 2.
Ironmouse’s 2023 suabthon lasted for 34 days, with the vtuber reaching 205,488 subscriptions and donating half of her reslting earnings to IDF. The vtuber’s 2022 event was her first, and lasted for roughly a month as Ironmouse became the most-subscribed female streamer.
It remains to be seen how well Ironmouse’s 2026 Mouseathon will fare, but her previous events indicate that she just might break some more records.
