Massively popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat is set to return to streaming after his months-long break, and he has announced that he will multistream his content movng forward.
Kai Cenat broke multiple records during his Mafiathon events, even becoming the most-subscribed Twitch streamer ever in the process. Despite the grand success, the streamer later announced that he would stop streaming. It was unclear at the time whether it was a break or if Cenat would quit for good. He later explained that he wanted to concentrate on his clothing line, Vivet, during his break.
There have been many rumors about his return since, while Kai has been silent about it. That’s about to change, and the streamer will no longer be streaming exclusively on Twitch.
Where to watch the Kai Cenat return stream live
Kai Cenat confirmed in a tweet that he would be stream live on both Twitch and YouTube when he returns to the world of livestreaming. Kai Cenat is slated to return to streaming on July 6, 2026, at 8 PM EST.
AMP, the content organization Cenat is a member of, tweeted a picture of the streamer’s setup, with the caption “Kai is back in his room.” YouTube also tweeted in acknowledging the streamer’s move, saying “W YouTube. W Kai Cenat.”

Cenat may have been away from the streaming space for roughly 9 months, but YouTube still trusts the creator to return a big way given its public support for him. Not every content creator gets such special attention from YouTube.
Kai is bringing back Streamer University for 2026
Kai Cenat’s return to streaming is connected to the upcoming Streamer University 2026 event, as Kai has returned to the limelight in part to announce and hold auditions for the latest edition of Streamer University.
There was an immediate outpouring of applications, and the streaming star has since closed them while announcing that the new Streamer University participants would be revealed soon.
It has already been rumored that Streamer University would be multistreamed across Twitch and YouTube. It wasn’t officially confirmed at the time, but it’s now been made official that both Streamer University and Kai Cenat’s own personal streams will indeed be live via multistreaming on both Twitch and YouTube.
The community reaction to Kai Cenat’s return has been largely positive. Some fans are wondering whether the streamer will be able to attract as many viewers as he once did after such a long hiatus. But most are just excitedly waiting for him to start streaming again.
It’s worth noting that Cenat has apparently gained over 300,000 new followers on Twitch since his announcement.
As for why Kai is opting into multistreaming now, many speculate that Cenat is starting to stream on YouTube after seeing the massive popularity it has helped Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. achieve. It remains to be seen if the Mafiathon streamer will see a similarly huge spike in popularity due to multistreaming on YouTube, but it’s clear now that he intends to try for it.
