Twitch streamer Kai Cenat reached an embarrassingly high number of deaths in a marathon stream of Elden Ring, but he hasn’t given up on his quest despite getting stretched by Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
Twitch’s most-subscribed streamer has pledged to take down Elden Ring’s most difficult bosses and finish the game. Many thought he wasn’t serious when he announced the marathon since Elden Ring can be a tough nut to track. The game is infamously difficult, despite being the subject of many unique challenge runs.
Kai Cenat has already beaten some of the game’s toughest bosses, with the stakes being raised further with unintentional police informant Adin Ross betting on whether he can beat specific bosses. But like so many others, the streamer ran into the rotten wall that is Malenia.
Kai Cenat racks up more than 140 hours, 1,500 deaths, and 100,000 subscribers with Elden Ring stream
Kai Cenat’s Elden Ring marathon ran for over 140 hours and in total, he died over 1,500 times.
After an intense 110-hour streaming session, Kai Cenat took a brief respite to recharge. Before going to bed, he had been locked in a fierce battle with Malenia for over 10 hours. After waking up, he returned and the rest didn’t result in a significant change to his fortunes.
While he didn’t necessarily breeze past other bosses, Malenia has proven to be a headache for Kai Cenat, who he fought against for more than a full 24 hours.
This isn’t entirely a skill issue on Kai Cenat’s part, as Malenia is one of the toughest bosses in Elden Ring. The optional demigod is regarded by many as the toughest boss in FromSoftware history and possibly in gaming as a whole. Kai can always skip past her, but he tirelessly went at it. Fans in chat tried to help him to no avail, as he forgot to reactivate Seppuku on his dual-katana build almost every time.
Kai Cenat Elden Ring build
Kai Cenat’s Elden Ring build was built around the Rivers of Blood katana, with another katana-style weapon in his offhand. He changed his offhand weapon during his playthrough before settling on the Nagakiba with a Seppuku weapon art.
He used a “Let Me Solo Her” style build, with no armor except for a headpiece. Instead of the iconic pot helmet, he wore a White Mask from the Surgeon set.
