The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC will bring many new Pokemon to the game and a leak has confirmed every one coming in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask.
At a recent Pokemon Presents in August, The Company Pokemon showed fans a lot of what they could expect from the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask releases in mid-September, but Part 2: The Indigo Disk does not have a release date yet. While it was unclear how this new content would be divided between the two parts, a leak has made that matter clear.
The first part brings players to the new Kitakami region which has several new Pokemon to collect, each with its own shiny to hunt for. With the expansion now leaked onto the internet, data miners have already pulled the game apart and confirmed which ones are coming in September and what their shinies look like.
All the new Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask
Munkidori, Okidogi, and Fezandipiti are among the seven new Pokemon coming in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC Part 1. These three Pokemon were featured prominently in early trailers and promotional materials dropped after the initial reveal of the DLC. All three have the new Toxic Chain ability which gives all damaging moves the chance to badly poison opponents.
The DLC will also bring Poltchageist and Sinistcha, an adorable pair of matcha-themed Pokemon. Poltchageist was previously revealed and the introduction of Sinistcha maintains the established themes of Convergent Pokemon mirroring their established counterparts.
Here’s the list of all the new Pokemon coming in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC Part 1:
- Munkidori
- Okidogi
- Fezandipiti
- Dipplin
- Poltchageist
- Sinistcha
- Ogerpon
The leak also shows Ogerpon having multiple different colored masks. It’s not yet clear what this entails and whether Ogerpon has different formes similar to Deoxys, or if it transforms mid-battle like Morpeko.
Each new Pokemon coming to Scarlet and Violet in the new DLC will receive its own shiny form, though it is possible that some of these could be shiny locked. It’s unknown how Ogerpon, Munkidori, Okidogi, and Fezandipiti are captured. Pokemon Sword and Shield shiny locked all its legendary Pokemon and these four could receive the same treatment.
Ursaluna gets new “blood moon” forme in Scarlet and Violet DLC
Ursaluna has a new “blood moon” forme in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask. Each version of the game has a different Pokedex entry for the new forme of Ursaluna, with one stating it drifted ashore in Kitakami, while the other goes on to say how the bear has night vision thanks to its left eye.
This is a new forme of Ursaluna rather than a new evolution or a different Pokemon. It’s unknown if Ursaluna can freely change formes or if players will have to choose between this and the original from Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
