A new trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 showed off multiplayer gameplay and some classic Modern Warfare 2 maps.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 continues the story that the rebooted Modern Warfare started in 2019. The game is a direct sequel to 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 and has deep ties to the last game. Weapons, gear, cosmetics, and operators obtained in the last game will carry forward to the new Call of Duty. Purchased content and skins will also be available for the players without any charges. The “Carry Forward” program is a first in franchise history and is appreciated by series regulars.
Activision seems to be banking on nostalgia in this year’s Call of Duty. The company is not only remaking old maps but is also bringing back slide canceling in multiplayer. Slide canceling combined with dolphin diving will make for faster movement in online games, a feature Call of Duty veterans missed in the last game. There will be a lot of changes, but what maps from CoD history will players be able to enjoy?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is bringing all 16 maps from the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from 2009. The map list includes:
