Fresh details have surfaced regarding the roster of Dragon Ball: Sparking ZERO and a lot of highly anticipated characters from Dragon Ball Super are confirmed to join the game.

The full cast of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is yet to be revealed but the game will be loaded with characters from all across the series. The first announcement trailer showed familiar faces such as Android 17 and 18, Super Trunks, and even Jiren from Dragon Ball Super. This suggested that the game would be up to date with current anime story arcs but questions still remained about the breadth of the character roster.

The latest scans from Japanese magazine V-Jump have revealed a new set of characters that fans can expect from the game when it launches later this year or early next year. This new crew includes old favorites like Master Roshi and newer characters such as Kale and Hit.

Kale, Full Power Broly among confirmed characters for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has 11 new confirmed characters, including Dragon Ball Super Broly, Kale, and other characters from Universes 6 and 11 including Toppo and Jeice.

This is the full list of characters who were revealed for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero in the latest V-Jump scans:

  • Dragon Ball Super Broly’s Full Power transformation
  • Nappa
  • Burter
  • Toppo
  • Kale and her Legendary Super Saiyan form
  • Master Roshi
  • Hit
  • Jeice
  • Dyspo
  • Kakunsa
  • Super Trunks

On top of these name drops, the revealed characters were seemingly divided into two categories: Speed and Power. Characters like Broly and Trunks are considered Power type in Sparking Zero, while characters like Hit and Jeice are considered Speed type.

This categorization follows a previous leak suggesting that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will have four different character classes or types: all-around, power, speed, and technique. Currently, only two of these classes or types have been confirmed by the recent V-Jump scans. This is similar to the triangle categorization used before in the 3DS title Dragon Ball Fusions, but that game had no all-around type, only speed, power, and technique.

The same V-Jump scans also tease a “Power vs Speed” trailer. There’s no information about the indication is that it will explain these categories and show fights involving Goku, Chi-Chi, Majunior, Vegito, Majin Buu Gohan Absorbed, and basically everyone that took part in the Dragon Ball GT Buu Saga.

The leak also added that the trailer would reveal the release window of the game as Winter 2024 alongside teases of the new Nintendo Switch console in Summer 2024. Information regarding the trailer and its contents are yet to be confirmed by the developer and publisher.
