A new leak from the Zenless Zone Zero beta versions shows the upcoming NEPS Police Bangboo Officer Cui in combat, leaving players excited for its official release.
Bangboos in ZZZ are adorable electronic helpers designed to aid people during Hollow events. Each Bangboo has a unique ability and look, as well as the ability to be taken into combat. These have also been incorporated into the gacha mechanics of the game, with players needing to pay up and try to pull the strongest ones.

The NEPS Police Bangboo “Officer Cui” is an S-tier Bangboo with attack-focused abilities that deal physical damage.
According to official materials, Officer Cui will come with 4,210 base HP and 8,863 base ATK. The description labels NEPS Police Bangboo “more intimidating than a Security Canine.” The first ability is also directly related to the description, as the Bangboo bites and tears at a target enemy, dealing physical damage. The active skill is called “Woof woof! Woof woof woof!” and can be triggered up to two times.
The second ability, called “Provisional Security Canine,” helps other cops in ZZZ. If there are two or more Criminal Investigation Special Response Team characters in the team, after using the first active skill, there’s a chance of activating it a second time. Up to three consecutive changes can be triggered. The last skill is the Bangboo Chain Attack, which bites and tears enemies and causes considerable damage.
NEPS Police Bangboo Officer Cui will be perfect if players have two or more CISRT characters in the squad. This makes it part of a CISRT-focused update.
Zhu Yuan was the only CISRT playable character in the first wave of playable characters for ZZZ. Qingyi and Seth Lowell will be added alongside this police officer Bangboo. Because of this players looking to make the most of this Bangboo will want to roll their way to Zhu Yuan while they can before adding either Qingyi or Seth Lowell.
Having them on the team will help Officer Cui execute more chain attacks and, as a result, do damage more frequently.
Police Bangboo Officer Cui’s release date in ZZZ
NEPS Police Bangboo Officer Cui will come out on August 14, 2024 with ZZZ’s 1.1 update.
The leaker who discussed this new Bangboo also mentions that properly working the attack chains is actually challenging. They also state that Officer Cui won’t be using a service Glock to deal damage, instead relying on traditional methods to take enemies down.
Zhu Yuan was already a devastatingly powerful character on her own. The addition of this police Bangboo and CISRT reinforcements will make her even more threatening.
