The Persona series is set for a year of rapid-fire game releases and that stretch might conclude with Persona 6, with its release date possibly coming sooner than many were expecting.
It’s been a rough time for the P Studio. Following a release date misfire for Persona 5 Tactica, a leaker may have just spoiled the company’s plans for the next two years. Atlus and Sega have been at the center of multiple reports from prominent leakers in recent months.
Included in the leak is an estimated Persona 6 release date. The new leaks line up with previous claims from other leakers who cover Atlus and Sega. While this is significant to RPG fans on its own, there are also a number of reports regarding other titles including Persona 5 The Phantom X, and a new Shin Megami Tensei.
When will Persona 6 be released?
Persona 6 will be released in 2025, according to a prominent leaker that covers Atlus. No exact release date was given. They stated this will be preceded by a new Persona spin-off game codenamed Project Asa, as well as a release for Persona 5 The Phantom X in 2024.
The news comes from leaker MbKKssTBhz5, a Twitter user who has accurately leaked information regarding Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload. MbKKssTBhz5 stated earlier this year that Atlus was pushing hard to release Persona 6, but that the game was set to release “within the next three years.” If true, those who want to get their hands on it will have to wait a while longer, but not as long as it seemed with that initial estimate.
This tracks with previous Persona 6 leaks from a different leaker who covers Sega. They made claims regarding the color scheme for the game and stated that Atlus wouldn’t be releasing it until after 2024.
MbKKssTBhz5 also claims that Persona 5: The Phantom X, Persona 5’s mobile spin-off that features a brand-new cast, will be released next year. Tests for the game will be done in different regions, suggesting that it may be released outside China.
New Shin Megami Tensei, Persona crossover spin-off reportedly in the works
A new Shin Megami Tensei title is already in the works, and a new crossover Persona spin-off is in the works, according to the leaker.
This new leak touched upon Project Asa, a party game featuring characters from multiple Persona titles. Alongside this, they state a new Shin Megami Tensei game is in the works with no details beyond that. Additionally, the leaker claims that Metaphor: ReFantazio, which is highly influenced by Persona, is on track to meet its 2024 release date. Neither Atlus, Sega, nor the P Studio have confirmed any of the leaks.
