Star Wars Outlaws players have to choose between telling Eleera about a Pyke traitor or giving the information to Gorak, but which choice is the right one and what are the rewards for either decision?
Factions are a big part of Star Wars Outlaws, and that’s presented to players very early on. After sneaking or blasting her way around Toshara and uncovering a plot against Gorak, Kay Vess has to make a decision. Does she hand this information to the Crimson Dawn to give them a leg-up on the Pyke Syndicate? Or does she tell Gorak so that he can deal with the traitor?
Players may want to know what the results are for either decision. While the choice isn’t as impactful as it might seem from a story perspective, it still does a lot to determine how the early game plays out.
Rewards for telling Eleera or Gorak about the Pyke Traitor
Players receive a major boost to their reputation rank with the Crimson Dawn or the Pyke Syndicate, based on who they tell about the traitor.
If Kay tell Eleera about the Pyke Syndicate’s traitor, they jump up to a “good” reputation standing with the Crimson Dawn. Similarly, if players tell Gorak about the plot against him, it results in a jump to “good” standing with the Pyke Syndicate.
This gives players an early taste of the rewards that are available from raising their reputation rank with factions in Star Wars Outlaws. Which side to choose ultimately depends on player preference, though most players will want to choose one side over the other.
Should I tell Eleera about the Pyke traitor or save the information for Gorak?
Players are best served by giving the information about a Pyke Syndicate traitor to Gorak.
There’s virtually no impact on the story when it comes to who Kay tells about the plot against Gorak. The only major change in this regard is that there’s an extra segment to the cutscene involving Kay and Eleera if Kay helps the Crimson Dawn, or an extra cutscene of Kay talking with Gorak about the plot if she opts to help him.
This will give players a good reputation with the Pyke Syndicate, giving them a bit more freedom of movement around Toshara. More importantly, it starts the ball rolling toward an excellent relationship with the Pyke Syndicate.
Players can earn numerous rewards from improving their relationship with the different factions. The Pyke Syndicate gives Kay access to equipment that boosts her combat prowess in numerous ways. Meanwhile, the Crimson Dawn gives players gear that helps them be more sneaky during stealth segments. Improved combat prowess, quite simply, is much more useful.
All this said, players who decided to tell Eleera about the Pyke traitor shouldn’t delete their Star Wars Outlaws save. This reputation boost isn’t enormous and it doesn’t preclude players from leveling up their reputation with either faction independent of this decision.
