Supervive: The best skills and items for Joule

Joule Supervive Character Guide

In Supervive, the hunter Joule can change the outcome of team fights with a click of a button, especially with the right skills and items.

Supervive relies heavily on positioning and awareness. A lot of hunters can displace other hunters or themselves. However, Joule is quite different as her main damage tool is her displacement ability.

Joule is arguably the most impactful hunter in Supervive. Despite that status, she’s not a character that a new player can simply pick up and play. Aspiring Joule mains need to understand her kit in-depth to make a difference in the competition.

Character guide for Joule in Supervive

Joule is a slippery assassin who bolts in and out of fights while dealing severe damage against foes. This hunter can weave in and out of battles easily once the proper conditions are met. These conditions involve her passive, Static Charge. This passive is an integral part of her offense and should be the first thing the player should understand about Joule.

Static Charge enables Joule to apply static on an enemy opponent. These stack up to a maximum of four. Once an opponent reaches four stacks, they are considered Static Charged. When opponents are static-charged, they take heavy damage from Joule’s Surge.

The reason why Surge is the most important part of Joule’s kit is because players can reset its cooldown. If Surge hits an opponent that is static charged, it deals massive damage to them and they can cast it once more. That makes Joule one of the hardest hunters to hit in the game.

Most of Joule’s abilities apply a stack of static. The easiest and most cost-effective way is to use her primary attack. The primary attack pierces through hunters which makes it a pseudo-AoE ability. Lightning Strike also applies a stack on an enemy while launching them in a certain direction.

Finally, her Voltaic Spear gives her the ability to stun hunters. The most important part of this ability is that it can spawn a lighting orb that resets the cooldown of Surge. This gives Joule more ways to cast her most damaging ability, a hefty benefit for a DPS.

Best items for Joule

The best items for Joule in Supervive are the two swords from the offensive loadout.

Joule is a hunter who leads the offensive and guides her team in Supervive to victory. She doesn’t need much health as her survivability comes from how difficult it is to pin her down. The best items should boost Joule’s offensive skills in Supervive.

The first upgrade players should take is the Mana Blade. Since Joule is a spellcaster, she will rely heavily on her mana. Mana Blade takes care of this problem with increased mana gain. After that, the next upgrade should be the Tech Blade. This weapon increases her damage and gives her a bit of ability haste which helps with ability cooldowns.

Choose Mindblade first for the next tier upgrade. Mindblade requires players to stack it up before it becomes a strong weapon. So taking it first allows them to stack it quickly rather than taking it later. After that, take Interweaver for more damage.

There are two choices for boots: Soul Drain and Meditation. Most of the time, players will want to choose Meditation. But if the team wants aggressiom, Soul Drain is the best choice.

Best skills for Joule

Joule Supervive

Joule should max out Surge whenever possible, before upgrading Lightning Strike and Voltaic Spear.

Since Joule’s damage revolves around her usage of Surge, it’s best to level it up as much as possible. The recommended skill progression for Joule is Surge -> Lighting Strike -> Voltaic Spear -> Surge -> Thunderstorm. Just make sure to maximize Surge as much as possible. Paired with items, the progression of skills should make Joule a force to be reckoned with in Supervive.

Voltaic Spear isn’t there for stuns. It’s primarily used for more DPS and spawning lightning orbs. It’s safe to leave it at level one because of this. Lightning Strike can save players in a pinch as it tosses away players. This ability helps peel off divers from Joule.
