Switch 2 release window possibly leaked by a peripheral company

The heavily rumored Nintendo Switch 2 may have had its release window confirmed by impatient accessory manufacturers, here’s how.

The rumored Nintendo Switch 2, the next-gen incarnation of Nintendo’s hit hybrid stationary/mobile gaming console, has been looming for a while. Now, thanks to accessory developer Satisfye, it’s all but assured, with their latest version of their Nintendo Switch grip being marketed as “ready for next-gen launch!”

Here’s everything we know about the release date based on the manufacturer leak.

Satisfye’s ZenGrip 2 hints at Nintendo Switch 2 release date

Peripheral company Satisfye may have leaked a spring 2025 Switch release date by accidentally putting accessories on sale.

A Nintendo Switch 2 has seemed inevitable for a while, with the hit portable console being Nintendo’s first fare back into the premier console space post-Wii and Wii U era. Nintendo has been its special brand of tight-lipped about next-gen workings, but it seems that at least one company producing accessories is ready to pull back the curtain. Manufacturer Satisfye created the ZenGrip, a larger chassis for the Switch to make its controls feel more robust and responsive. Now, it has unveiled the ZenGrip 2, a new, re-designed successor that is specifically being heralded as compatible with a next-gen launch, essentially confirming a Nintendo Switch 2.

The manufacturer is pretty clear about its intents, with the slogan “Have yours ready for next-gen launch!” plastered along the item’s page right next to the name. Satisfye advertises “advanced floating design,” “full port accessibility,” “dockable design,” and “redesigned ergonomics” on a grip that looks conspicuously designed for a Switch look-alike, if possibly chunkier. Importantly, while the item is only on preorder at the time of writing, Satisfye clearly says they anticipate shipping to occur in spring of 2025, likely in tandem with a Nintendo Switch 2 release

The ZenGrip 2 is offered in a Slim Bundle, for $69.99, and a standalone version for $49.99. The grip, made for an unspecified “Next Gen Console” that bears the Switch’s exact control layout, may as well be Nintendo’s planned release schedule given the company’s history. Nintendo has made no official comment on the release implied by Satisfye’s marketing.
