While Dragon Ball fans are pumped to see over 180 iconic anime characters on the roster of Sparking Zero, some have created mods that expand the fighting beyond just Dragon Ball.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is a major hit and according to Bandai Namco, it’s set to have around 200 characters by the time official DLC is done. But modders aren’t satisfied with that. They want to see Dragon Ball characters fighting other iconic characters from outside that universe.
From entertaining crossovers to useful cheats, here are the best Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero mods.

CJ from Grand Theft Auto
GTA’s CJ may seem random but it’s actually no surprise. A meme at this point, CJ is added into basically every game that has modding options. Or as he puts it, “here we go again.”
Originally from GTA: San Andreas, CJ is now a fighter in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero taking on Super Vegeta, Future Trunks, Cell, Broly, and more. The CJ mod replaces Goku’s model with the GTA protagonist, so CJ will fight with all of his powers.
Save Game — Everything Unlocked
Unlocking everything in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero takes a long, long time. From grinding for Zeni to collecting the Dragon Balls, it can prove to be a complete hassle.
For Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero players who don’t want to bother, this mod is a life-saver. Avoid the grind by using this mod to automatically unlock everything in the game. This includes all characters as well as every item and outfit in the shop. The mod creator has confirmed that it works online and with multiplayer, meaning the characters and items are available at all times!
Donkey Kong
He’s the leader of the bunch, you know him well, and he’s finally back to kick some tail. Donkey Kong arrives in Sparking Zero wearing just a tie and covered in fur. It may seem a bit random to have him in a Dragon Ball fighter, but DK is no stranger to fighting games. This mod turns the infuriating Great Ape Vegeta into Donkey Kong, which is very fitting.
Shrek

Shrek is taking a break from raising babies and yapping about onions to beat down some anime characters in Sparking Zero. This mod turns Toppo into Shrek, likely due to their similar stature. His abilities don’t really match Shrek, who is more known for his physical strength and melee fighting in the movies. Still, for those who just want something goofy in their game, this is a solid choice.
Goku Drip
Hype beasts are gonna love this. This mod has all Gokus in the game dripped out in Supreme. Right now there are 11 Gokus in Sparking Zero, including Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan God, and Super Saiyan God Super. While the orange gi remains iconic, players should get this mod by any means necessary.
Among Us
This mod is so sus. Gamers are calling this the peak of modding, adding the Amoogus into Sparking Zero. With this mod, Goku GT and Teen will show as this sussy baka instead. The image of the yellow Amoogus clenching its fist and yelling as immense power radiates from within is hilarious. This meme will never die at this rate.
Custom Battle Capsules in Battle Mode
What a great idea, bringing fun custom battle settings to regular battles. This Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero mod basically unlocks “various interesting capsules” that are usually locked in custom battles. A lot of Sparking Zero players have expressed in the comments that this has made matches last longer and feel a lot more fun.
