Sparking Zero: Every wish and how to collect Dragon Balls

Super Shenron in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero allows players to gather the Dragon Balls and make wishes, but players can get different rewards depending on who they summon and what they ask for.

There’s a lot to do in the revival of the Budokai Tenakaichi series. With such a large roster and a story mode that accurately recreates moments from the anime and manga, the game has various gameplay mechanics that pay homage to the source material.

Summoning Shenron in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

One of those gameplay mechanics is collecting the seven Dragon Balls to summon a wish-granting dragon. While most players will likely be familiar with Shenron, the game allows players to summon one of three dragons, and all three have different types of balls to collect. Here’s how to collect Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero and how every dragon’s wish system works.

How to gather the Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

Players can collect the Dragon Balls by completing various challenges and through random drops after battles.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has three types of Dragon Balls to collect. The regular Dragon Balls are used to summon Shenron, the Namekian Dragon Balls are used to summon Porunga, and the Super Dragon Balls summon Super Shenron.

Dragon Balls are the easiest to collect, as players can acquire them by completing Zen-Oh’s Orders and filling Whis’s Stamp Book. Players can also get random drops after completing versus battles in the battle section of the main menu. These can be after offline or online battles and it doesn’t matter if the player wins or loses.

Next up, the Namekian Dragon Balls are rarer than the regular ones. While these balls aren’t given for completing any challenges, they’re given as random drops after winning in versus battles. Despite their name, Namekian Dragon Balls aren’t specifically tied to Namek as players can get them on any map.

The Super Dragon Balls are the hardest to acquire but can be gathered by completing Goku’s Saga, Future Trunks’ Sparking Episodes, and completing other in-game story content. There are some guaranteed ways of acquiring the complete set of these balls, including clearing Goku’s saga in the Episode Battles. Future Trunks’ Sparking Episodes also give players a guaranteed set, and various optional sub-chapters in Episode Battles can potentially drop these balls.

Those who purchase the Deluxe Edition get a free ticket to summon Shenron. On the other hand, those who acquire the Ultimate Edition can summon both Shenron and Super Shenron for free once.

Every Shenron, Porunga, and Super Shenron wish in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

Every dragon has a different set of wishes players can select, and one of the three dragons allows three wishes.

Summoning Shenron in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Since Shenron is the easiest dragon to summon, the wishes he offers players are the most standard. Those who summon Shenron can make one of the following wishes:

  • I want more Zeni
  • I want you to raise my Player Level
  • I want more titles
  • I want new outfits
  • I want to complete an Episode Battle

Porunga is summoned by collecting seven Namekian Dragon Balls. Since it’s harder to complete his set, summoning the Namekian Dragon allows players to make three wishes. Those who summon Porunga can make the following wishes:

  • I want more Zeni
  • I want you to raise my Player Level
  • I want ability items
  • I want more titles

Finally, Super Shenron is the rarest dragon players can summon. Collecting his Dragon Balls isn’t a matter of choice for the player, as they must complete specific battles and sagas to acquire them. Bandai Namco ensured Super Shenron gives players the most choices. Those who summon Super Shenron can make the following wishes:

  • I want more characters
  • I want more Zeni
  • I want you to raise my Player Level
  • I want new outfits
  • I want ability items
  • I want more titles

Because of their rarity, the wishes offered by Super Shenron offer the biggest rewards. Arguably the greatest reward is instantly unlocking characters Goku Black and Fused Zamasu.
