Trigger is finally set to flesh out the OBOL Squad faction, and ZZZ players can pre-farm her ascension and skill materials to have her ready immediately upon pulling her.
Zenless Zone Zero made the perplexing decision to run yet another electric stun agent. This is an odd decision as there’s already a free-to-play option in Anby, as well as the limited-time agent Qingyi. This is particularly odd, as Qingyi got the rerun treatment in version 1.5 alongside the introduction of Evelyn.
The good news is that Trigger looks to be radically different from any other agent. She doesn’t just stand apart from Anby and Qingyi, as her distinctive ranged attacks are unlike anything seen in the game thus far. But new agents aren’t strong out of the box in HoYoverse games. Here’s what players will need to make Trigger as strong as possible.
All Trigger ascension materials
Trigger requires the standard progression of Stun Certification Seals in order to be raised to level 60. Here’s the step-by-step progression for her:
- Level 20: 4 Basic Stun Certification Seals and 24,000 Dennies
- Level 30: 12 Advanced Stun Certification Seals and 56,000 Dennies
- Level 40: 20 Advanced Stun Certification Seals and 120,000 Dennies
- Level 50: 10 Buster Certification Seals and 200,000 Dennies
- Level 60: 20 Buster Certification Seals and 400,000 Dennies
Players only have one real option for getting ascension materials in Zenless Zone Zero. The HIA Club is the only real resource for farming certification seals for any role.
The only other option is getting a few from the convenience stores on Sixth Street and Lumina Square. Though players can acquire a few in this way, it ultimately costs a hefty sum of Dennies such that players are just better off making an extra trip to the HIA Club.
Trigger skill materials, and how to get them in ZZZ
Like every electric agent, Trigger needs the standard progression of Shock Chips to raise her skills. Here is the breakdown of what she needs for each skill:
- Level 2: 2 Basic Shock Chips, 2,000 Dennies
- Level 3: 3 Basic Shock Chips, 3,000 Dennies
- Level 4: 2 Advanced Shock Chips and 6,000 Dennies
- Level 5: 3 Advanced Shock Chips and 9,000 Dennies
- Level 6: 4 Advanced Shock Chips and 12,000 Dennies
- Level 7: 6 Advanced Shock Chips and 18,000 Dennies
- Level 8: 5 Specialized Shock Chips and 45,000 Dennies
- Level 9: 8 Specialized Shock Chips and 67,500 Dennies
- Level 10: 10 Specialized Shock Chips and 90,000 Dennies
- Level 11: 12 Specialized Shock Chips and 112,500 Dennies
- Level 12: 15 Specialized Shock Chips, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 135,000 Dennies
Players should keep two things in mind; these are the required materials for Trigger with zero mindscapes and all six skills have these same requirements. As such, there’s a lot of farming ahead if players want to fully optimize her. But of course, this isn’t really necessary.
The good news is Shock Chips are an easier material to farm than certification seals.
Each month, the Signal Shop’s Fading Signal section has 80 Advanced Shock Chips available. This lets players get a significant amount of materials without having to spend any battery charge.
Alongside this, when players have an agent serving as promoter of their store for a day, they receive a handful of skill chips. Players can passively get five Basic Shock Chips by having S-rank agents Harumasa, Qingyi, Rina, or Grace work the store each day. Players who don’t have any of them can instead have Anby, Seth, or Anton serve as the promoter for two each day.
All Trigger boss materials to raise core skills
Players will not be able to pre-farm Trigger’s Expert Challenge boss materials until ZZZ version 1.6 arrives, but players can pre-farm her Notorious Hunt materials in advance. Here’s the breakdown of what she’ll need:
- A: 5,000 Dennies
- B: 2 New Expert Challenge boss material and 12,000 Dennies
- C: 4 New Expert Challenge boss material and 28,000 Dennies
- D: 9 New Expert Challenge boss material, 2 Ferocious Grip, and 60,000 Dennies
- E: 15 New Expert Challenge boss material, 3 Ferocious Grip, and 100,000 Dennies
- F: 30 New Expert Challenge boss material, 4 Ferocious Grip, and 200,000 Dennies
Like Silver Soldier Anby, Trigger utilizes a new boss material that isn’t included in ZZZ version 1.5. As such, players will need to wait until the update drops in order to pre-farm it.
Before that, players can instead farm Ferocious Grips. These are acquired from the Newborn Dead End Butcher, and players can earn up to three per week at Scott Outpost’s Notorious Hunt for free. Four can also be purchased each cycle from the Scott Outpost’s Logistics Shop.
