MiHoYo is set to launch the first major patch for ZZZ and the 1.1 update will bring new characters, story content, and enemies for players to tackle.
After Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero has established itself as a success for developer MiHoYo. While ZZZ differs from its predecessors, the action RPG has fans hooked in similar fashion. Fans are used to updates bringing a lot of content in the other two games and ZZZ follows a similar update pattern.
The Zenless Zone Zero 1.1 Undercover R&B update is coming and MiHoYo has detailed what it brings. This includes all the new characters and story content the update will bring. Alongside that are some other details unearthed through less-official means.
What’s in Zenless Zone Zero’s Undercover R&B update?
ZZZ’s 1.1 Undercover R&B will bring three new playable characters, story missions, and other content focusing on the New Eridu Public Security faction.
The Zenless Zone Zero 1.1 Undercover R&B will introduce three new playable characters Jane Doe, Qingyi, and Seth Lowell. All three of the characters can be unlocked by players from two limited banners that will run during the ZZZ 1.1 patch.
The first banner will run through the first half of the 1.1 patch and introduces S-Rank electric stun character Qingyi. The second banner runs through the second half of the patch and introduces Jane Doe and Seth Lowell.
Jane Doe is an S-Rank physical anomaly character, while Seth Lowell is an A-Rank electric defense character. Like other HoYoverse games, Jane may be an in-game antagonist but players can unlock her as a playable character.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.1 Undercover R&B’s story revolves around the NEPS and a mysterious gang called the Mountain Lion. Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, and Seth will take on the Mountian Lion Gang while Jane is seemingly a member of this group.
Alongside these new characters is a new Bangboo. This police-themed Officer Cui Bangboo synergizes with NEPS party members, making it a great sidekick for Qingyi and Seth.
ZZZ update 1.1 release date confirmed
Zenless Zone Zero’s 1.1 update is set to arrive on September 14, 2024.
Alongside the nitty-gritty of the 1.1 update, the developers have touched upon some of their plans for the 1.2 update. The bulk of these are quality-of-life improvements, though there are set to be some notable gameplay additions.
Among them is the introduction of Fairy Assistance, which will allow players to get commission rewards that they missed out on. There will also be more options for testing out agents to prevent players from wasting resources. There’s no release date set for the 1.2 update.
