Competitive Pokemon TCG Pocket players should get ready for a new set of best decks from Secluded Springs that could shake up the game’s meta.
Every time Pokemon TCG Pocket releases a new booster, players scramble to collect the best and rarest cards in the set. These have included cards ranging from Genetic Apex‘s Charizard ex to Wisdom of Sky and Sea‘s Ho-Oh and Lugia duo. Some cards are simply far better than others when it comes to battling.
Secluded Springs offers a number of things to players, from new collectibles to competitive cards for beating the AI and ranked players.
Best decks from Secluded Springs
Secluded Springs introduces 105 new cards, including full art rares and shiny cards, to make new decks from. Especially when combined with past sets, players have an endless number of competitive options. Here are some new possible best decks to get them started.
Suicune ex/Milotic
As one of the best cards from Secluded Springs, Suicune ex comes with both an ability and an attack. Its ability allows the player to draw a card whenever it’s active. Meanwhile, Suicune ex’s attack deals 20 damage for every Pokemon on both players’ benches. More cards being pulled means more chances to fill the bench and deal at least 60 damage.

Dealing 60 damage for two energy, Milotic is one of the heavier-hitting water Pokemon from Secluded Springs. When played, it can also heal 60 damage from one of the water Pokemon on the field.
Suicune ex works best with a full bench, and an Eevee-Vaporeon lineup will help with that as well as with energy distribution. Vaporeon can move benched energy to the active Pokemon, making it easy to get any card into the action. Mantyke is also a good baby Pokemon to put out front to help build up energy or to fall back and hold a place on the bench.

Miltank/Igglybuff
Miltank is an unlikely contender to head of one of the best new decks from Secluded Springs, but that’s part of where its power comes from. For just one energy, it can use Rolling Frenzy and deal 10 damage. Each subsequent use stacks 30 more damage to the attacj, unlike other cards that don’t allow for damage to build up in this way. By the time an opponent gets a more powerful card on the table, Miltank could be dealing upwards of 100 damage. Additionally, it’s only a two-diamond card, making it easier to collect that Suicune ex or other legendary cards.

New trainer card Whitney heals Miltank for 50 damage and erases a number of special conditions. The healing makes Miltank able to withstand a number of early-game hits while Rolling Frenzy gets going. Additionally, a giant cape Pokemon tool lets it survive damage from some of the bigger hitters in Secluded Springs.
Igglypuff is one of the newest baby Pokemon to enter the game with Secluded Springs. Like other baby Pokemon, it can attack or have an effect without needing any energy. Not only can it deal 10 damage for free, but Igglypuff can also put the opposing Pokemon to sleep. This makes it a great starter to set up for Miltank or another card. Other sets have introduced evolution cards to pull from for Jigglypuff, providing the Pokemon with a way to power up.

As the meta settles, players should expect to see and try out a number of different Secluded Springs decks. Those who can combine Moltres ex with the new Entei ex will surely see some success as a fire deck. Poliwrath ex may also show up to combine water and fighting power for a killer attack. It’s all about what cards a player can pull and knowing how to use them to their advantage.
