Pokemon TCG Pocket released its latest booster set, Secluded Springs, with brand-new rare cards to find, pull, and treasure.

Rare cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket can be a pain to track down. The only way to get them is by saving hourglasses to rip as many packs as needed to pull them, or by saving Pack Points to buy them. But Pokemon TCG Pocket often makes the hunt worth it. From full art cards to gold crowns, there’s an aesthetic for everyone.

With only 105 cards, Secluded Springs is a smaller booster compared to Wisdom of Sky and Sea or Celestial Guardians. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have multiple rare cards worth chasing down.

What is the rarest card in Secluded Springs?

The gold crown Mantyke is the rarest card available in Pokemon TCG Pocket: Secluded Springs.

Gold crown cards are the rarest cards in all of Pokemon TCG Pocket, with a maximum odds of pulling at 0.040%. For every additional gold crown card, such as in Genetic Apex with three, the odds of each card are lowered. Boosters with one pack to pull from usually contain the highest odds of pulling the rarest card in the set.

While it’s not the mascot Pokemon for the set as that role went to Suicune ex, Mantyke is special in its own way. It joins the ranks of baby Pokemon in Pokemon TCG Pocket, a new category of Pokemon typically able to use abilities without energy and first introduced in Wisdom of Sky and Sea. Baby Pokemon appear as the sixth bonus card in a set, and it’s unclear if this will affect the way players will be able to pull gold crown Mantine.

The next rarest category of cards is two-star full art cards. With 12 in total, there’s an 0.041% chance of pulling a specific one as the fourth or fifth card in a regular set.

  • Jumpluff ex + rainbow border
  • Entei ex + rainbow border
  • Raikou ex +rainbow border
  • Poliwrath ex + rainbow border
  • Suicune ex
  • Whitney
  • Traveling Merchant
  • Morty

Shiny cards available in Secluded Springs

There are 14 new shiny cards in Secluded Springs, ranging in rarity between one shiny star and two.

Pokemon TCG Pocket first introduced shiny cards back in Shining Revelry, and players have been chasing them down ever since. Secluded Springs introduces ten new shiny cards to pull. While the total chance of pulling one is 0.714%, the chance of pulling a specific such card is just 0.071%.

  • Chimchar
  • Monferno
  • Psyduck
  • Golduck
  • Krabby
  • Kingler
  • Pyukumuku
  • Gible
  • Gabite
  • Paldean Wooper

In comparison, Secluded Springs has four full art shiny cards with a total odds of pulling at 0.333% and an individual chance of 0.083%. While pulling a full art shiny card in general is higher, the chance of finding one specific card is higher than that of the shiny cards.

  • Infernape ex
  • Mew ex
  • Garchomp ex
  • Paldean Clodsire ex

Because there’s only one booster pack to pull from, there are fewer rare cards overall. Players don’t have to split their time between pack types, making it easier to get their desired cards here. There’s only one rare gold crown to track down in the new booster, so players should cross their fingers to find it and just keep on pulling.
