Brant, Wuthering Waves’ newest male character, has arrived in the game, and our guide features the best build including teams, echoes, and weapons to make him as strong as he can be.
After Phoebe, Wuthering Waves is once again releasing another character who can do multiple things at once. Hailing from Rinascita, Brant is a five-star Fusion Sword resonator. With an all-around kit, Brant can inflict powerful Fusion attacks, provide heals and shields, and amplify Fusion and resonance skill damage through his outro skill.
Brant is a jack-of-all-trades and easily one of the most satisfying characters to play in Wuthering Waves. But getting his build right takes work, so here’s a breakdown of his kit and the best echoes, weapons, and teams that can make him pop right off.
Best Echoes set for Wuthering Waves Brant build
The best echo sets for Brant build in Wuthering Waves are Tidebreaking Courage, Molten Rift, and Moonlit Clouds. As a resonator who needs tons of energy regen (around 280%), it’s highly recommended to focus on these main stats:
- 4-cost: Crit rate
- 3-cost: Fusion damage or Energy regen
- 3-cost: Energy regen
- 1-cost: ATK%
5-piece Tidebreaking Courage
Tidebreaking Courage is Brant’s go-to echo set in Wuthering Waves since he scales so much off energy regeneration. TC gives him an easy 10% energy regen boost and 15% ATK. Once he hits the 250% energy regen mark, all of his Fusion damage receives a solid 30% boost. As the team’s main DPS, nothing beats this set for Brant.
Farm for Dragon of Dirge and use it as Brant’s main echo. Besides dealing damage, Dragon of Dirge gives him a nice boost to Fusion and basic attack damage.
Here is the list of all Tidebreaking Courage echoes in Wuthering Waves:
- Dragon of Dirge
- Chop Chop: Headless
- Chop Chop: Leftless
- Chop Chop: Rightless
- Lottie Lost
- Diggy Duggy
- Diurnus Knight
- Abyssal Gladius
- Chop Chop
- Hurriclaw
- Aero Prism
- Calcified Junrock
5-piece Molten Rift
Molten Rift is a decent option for increasing Brant’s personal damage whether he’s a DPS or a sub-DPS. It offers a hefty 40% Fusion damage boost, but building Molten Rift means making up for it with echoes or weapons that have high energy regen stats.
Nightmare: Inferno Rider is the best main echo for Molten Rift, which give him fusion damage and resonance skill damage increases upfront.
Here’s the list of all Molten Rifts Echoes:
- Inferno Rider
- Havoc Dreadmane
- Violet-Feathered Heron
- Geohide Saurian
- Young Geohide Saurian
- Electro Predator
- Fusion Dreadmane
- Fusion Prism
- Fusion Warrior
- Snip Snap
- Spectro Prism
- Traffic Illuminator
- Lava Larva
5-piece Moonlit Clouds
Moonlit Clouds leans more into Brant’s role as a buffer for resonators such as Changli, Chixia, and Carlotta. Instead of boosting his own damage, it gives him some energy regen and lets him pass an attack boost to the next character after his outro skill.
Here’s the list of all Moonlit Clouds Echoes:
- Bell-Borne Geochelone
- Impermanence Heron
- Chaserazor
- Spearback
- Stonewall Brazer
- Geohide Saurian
- Cruisewing
- Diamondclaw
- Fission Junrock
- Glacio Prism
- Sabyr Boar
- Whiff Whaff
- Zig Zag
- Glacio Dreadmane
Best weapons for Brant in Wuthering Waves
Among all potential weapons, the best choice for Brant is easily Unflickering Valor. Other great alternatives include Red Spring, Overture, Emerald of Genesis, Blazing Brilliance, and Lumingloss.

Unflickering Valor (5-star)
Unflickering Valor, Brant’s signature weapon, is hands down his best-in-slot. Like most signature weapons, it boosts pretty much every stat Brant needs to achieve higher damage such as crit rate, resonance liberation, and basic attack damage. Its high energy regen also pairs perfectly with the Tidebreaking Courage echo set.
Red Spring (5-star)
Brant can also make use of Camellya’s signature weapon, but not to its full potential. It offers a decent crit rate and ATK boosts while also enhancing basic attack damage. The downside is Red Spring’s lack of energy regen stats, which makes building him trickier. Now, instead of Tidebreaking Courage, going for Molten Rift with two 3-cost energy regen echoes is a better fit.
Overture (4-star)
Overture is easily Brant’s best 4-star weapon. It might lack offensive stats, but its 51% energy regen makes up for it. That’s more than enough to help Brant hit his high energy regen requirements, which ultimately boosts his personal damage.
Emerald of Genesis (5-star)
Emerald of Genesis works fine for Brant, providing crit rate, some energy regen, and a respectable amount of ATK boost. But like Red Spring, its energy regen isn’t quite enough to make full use of the Tidebreaking Courage set.
Blazing Brilliance (5-star)
Paired with Molten Rift, Blazing Brilliance works well as a great stat stick for Brant. Its high crit damage and ATK stats make it a reliable choice for any attack-scaling DPS looking to boost their damage output.
Lumingloss (4-star)
Lumingloss is a highly recommended 4-star weapon for those without 5-star options or Overture. It provides some ATK boost and significantly enhances Brant’s basic attacks, especially at max refinements.
Best Brant teams in Wuthering Waves
Brant is a versatile resonator built to serve as a damage dealer in hypercarry or dual DPS teams, while also functioning as a healer and buffer. His flexible kit lets him slot into various compositions, working especially well with units including Changli, Carlotta, Sanhua, and Chixia.

Changli hypercarry – Changli, Brant and Shorekeeper
Most of the time, Changli acts as a quickswap DPS and damage buffer, with only a few instances where she truly shines as a hypercarry. This is largely because she has always lacked a proper sub-DPS, unlike how Zhezhi pairs with Carlotta or Roccia with Camellya. But all of that changes with the release of Brant.
Changli’s a Fusion DPS who mostly scales off resonance skill, which just about makes Brant her best support option. Then add a healer such as Shorekeeper for the third slot, since she can toss in some buffs as well. Casual players can keep things simple with a rotation that starts with Shorekeeper’s resonance liberation, then Brant, and finally Changli.
The quick-swap playstyle can add some fun, but nailing it means getting in necessary practice with animation cancels and general timings.
Carlotta hypercarry team – Carlotta Brant Shorekeeper
For Carlotta teams without Zhezhi, Brant’s a great pick. He buffs most of Carlotta’s damage because the majority of that damage counts as resonance skill. As in the above team, Shorekeeper or another healer like Verina works well for the last slot.
Brant F2P team – Chixia Brant Flex
Building Brant isn’t exactly easy, but it does help that he’s got plenty of free-to-play synergies to work with.
Chixia meshes very well with Brant, as his outro skill can crank up her damage output by quite a bit. It’s one of his best free-to-play teams, but their lack of AoE makes dealing with groups of enemies difficult. To round out the team, consider adding a healer like Verina from the standard banner or another buffer/sub-DPS like Sanhua (S6).
