Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has GT characters; here’s who’s coming

Bandai Namco finally revealed whether the long-awaited Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will have characters from the non-canon Dragon Ball GT series.

The Dragon Ball series has spawned multiple video game entries over the years. These include the Budokai games and the two Raging Blast games that are famous for finally giving fans Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta. However, the Budokai Tenkaichi games are arguably the most iconic, which is why fans are anticipating their revival through Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

While the upcoming game is confirmed to have a large roster of characters from the series, fans wondered if that included non-canon entries. Dragon Ball GT may be a controversial topic for Dragon Ball enthusiasts. Still, many long-time fans wondered if the series would be included in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, and Bandai Namco gave a definitive confirmation.

Will Dragon Ball Sparking Zero include Dragon Ball GT?

A trailer posted on the official Bandai Namco YouTube channel confirmed Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will include the GT saga.

The Dragon Ball Sparking Zero GT character trailer revealed the game covers a good chunk of GT. Characters from the Baby Saga and Shadow Dragon Saga are featured, although it’s unknown if characters from the Black Star Dragon Ball Saga and Super 17 Saga are included. Super 17, in particular, was a fan favorite in the Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi games. Bandai Namco not having him will be a bummer for many fans.

Dragon Ball GT is considered the dark horse of the Dragon Ball series. Not only is it non-canon thanks to Dragon Ball Super, but the show wasn’t nearly as well received as Dragon Ball Z. Still, it has some iconic characters, including the iconic Super Saiyan 4 form for Goku, Vegeta, and Gogeta.

All Dragon Ball GT characters coming to Sparking Zero’s roster

15 characters and alternate versions of characters from Dragon Ball GT have been confirmed for the game. The lineup is largely made up of fan favorites, but there are a few surprising omissions.

Here’s the complete list of Dragon Ball GT characters and individual character forms confirmed to be in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero:

While this list includes the most known Dragon Ball GT characters, some fan favorites are not included. In addition to not having Super Android 17, who had an entire saga dedicated to him, the list doesn’t have Nouva Shenron and Trunks (GT). Some GT characters may come as part of a future DLC. Additionally, it might make sense to add GT’s rendition of Trunks as an alternate costume for Future Trunks or Trunks (Super).
