The Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Warbond is coming, but what’s in this battle pass and is it going to be worth it?
Helldivers 2 shines best when players make mistakes and accidentally or intentionally blow everyone up. With friendly fire turned on, the exaggerated ragdoll physics makes for entertaining gameplay moments. As the name implies, the next Warbond will make for some hilarious, explosive moments.
The latest Helldivers 2 battle pass was revealed by PlayStation and breaks down everything that’s on offer to dedicated players. And what it has to offer is a lineup of explosives to make any given playthrough even sillier than what players have already gotten used to.
Every Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation weapon
Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation comes with standard weapons, explosion-based weapons, armor, capes, and a utility booster. Here are the new weapons it has on offer:
- BR-14 Adjudicator Rifle
- R-36 Eruptor Rifle
- CB-9 Exploding Crossbow
- G-123 Thermite Grenades
- GP-31 Grenade Pistol
- Expert Extraction Pilot Booster
The new Helldivers 2 battle pass a new assault rifle, the BR-14 Adjudicator Rifle, with armor-penetrating rounds. The next rifle, the R-36 Eruptor Rifle, shoots “jet-assisted shells” that explore shrapnel on impact. Yes, it can also blow players away if shot haphazardly.
Then there’s the CB-9 Exploding Crossbow with explosive payload bolts. The downside is gravity, which will make aiming tricky.
The Helldivers 2 Warbond also comes with a thermite grenade that sticks to surfaces, enemies, and allies alike and toasts them. The GP-31 Grenade Pistol shoots grenades, making it one of the best sidearms in the game. The Expert Extraction Pilot Booster calls the extraction shuttle sooner.
The Bond will also net light, medium, heavy armor, and three capes.
When is Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation releasing?
Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation launches April 11 and will cost 1,000 Super Credits.
Players can earn Super Credits simply by playing the game and by earning them through the Warbond itself. Alternatively, they can also purchase Super Credits for $9.99 to get 1,000 Credits and the Warbond.
Gamers have appreciated how Arrowhead Game Studios handles the premium currency and microtransactions in the game. The Warbond also doesn’t expire, so players can go through it at their own pace, eliminating the FOMO that many battle passes are built to exploit.
Arrowhead Game Studio is rapidly releasing updates to keep democracy detonating. The studio recently updated the game with new Stratagems, adding a powerful cannon.
